REPAIR CAFÉ - RÉSEAU GRAND NANCY

Organization for solidarity and mutual aid

Born in 2009 in the Netherlands, Repair Café is exported everywhere: in Nancy, their number grows every year! This is logical, as the concept is simple, effective and good for the planet! During regular workshops, volunteer handymen repair your everyday objects that are a little worn, such as that vacuum cleaner that no longer vacuums or your toaster that no longer toasts anything! A good reflex that can make a difference in our overconsumption habits.

LES SUSPENDUS DE RENNES

Organization for solidarity and mutual aid

In 2017, the Maison des Citoyens and its metropolis took over the Italian concept of suspended coffee in Rennes, which involves ordering two coffees and consuming only one, with the other going to someone in need. The concept quickly caught on, not only in food (soup, baguette or even suspended galette-saucisse!), but also yoga classes, haircuts, show tickets or books offered by retailers and solidarity partners. Participating establishments are identified by the "suspendu = solidaire" logo and listed in a directory compiled by La Maison des Citoyens. An initiative that promotes everyday generosity.

LA BOUTIQUE SOLIDAIRE BRETAGNE

Desire for eating organic, but you are lost in the jungle of labels and labels? Do you want to give a nudge in the right direction to disabled workers, but do not know where to place? La Boutique Solidaire Bretagne is for you! Hit with its door, you can not buy anything, it there is on the Net that happens. The project of this association, launched there has two years, is to create a network of actors of sustainable development and solidarity economy, a sort of "hub" on the Website, according to a terminology in fashion. You will find more than a hundred cards, which will advise you where to find organic beer near home, a craftsman specialised in the écoconstruction, or in the stays in respectful rural cottages of the environment. It is very well done, you can find a few clicks produces it or the wanted service, and contact it directly by telephone or e-mail, in Brittany, extended to the Loire-Atlantique region. Careful, it is not just a simple directory of the solidarity economy in the region! The listed actors are selected by a uniting advisory committee of the public and private agencies (Regional Court of social economy - Agro Organic - 35, Aproche Eco-Habitat - Peasant- Brittany Reception), according to a demanding charter. The initiative is anyway welcome, and allows you to have serious guarantees, at a time when the "consommactor" has rather tend to get lost in the profusion of sometimes meaningless labels.

SUPER CAFOUTCH

Organization for solidarity and mutual aid
5/5
1 review

Super Cafoutch is the cooperative supermarket from Mars. The Cafoutch is a small storage room where you can put everything and anything. From the Marseilles expression, the association develops a consumer cooperative. To consume yes, but differently: quality products, local and accessible for all. The model is inspired by the Park Slope Food Coop created in 1973 in New York. To consume, you have to be a member; the cooperators each hold one or more shares in the supermarket and decide together. It is also a participatory supermarket: each cooperator devotes 3 hours per month to various tasks such as cashiering, stocking shelves, ordering, etc. The project is also social: finding everything at Super Cafoutch and cheaper than elsewhere, consuming locally and responsibly (99% organic and local products). The baskets are prepared under our eyes, we exchange, we discuss, we share. Meetings are organized once a month, find the dates in the Agenda on the website. The cooperative hopes to find a place very soon in the city center. A great idea!

LA GLANERIE

Organization for solidarity and mutual aid

La Glanerie is a reintegration structure supported by Toulouse Métropole. Its objective is twofold. On the one hand, it is a question of protecting the environment by recycling objects deposited on site or in a waste disposal centre, giving them a new life. On the other hand, it allows integration through a vocational training workshop. Every year, it organizes a "Make Recycling" event to raise public awareness of how to change the way people consume. Close to the Garonne canal, it has a 700 m² space where furniture and second-hand objects are displayed at very good prices. A very clever plan! Another smaller boutique is located in the city at 2, avenue de la Gloire.
