The best structured club of women's basketball in the agglomeration. In just under seven seasons, the club, whose president is Hubert Gouriou, has passed from the National Women 2 to the status of an outsider of the Women's League of Basketball, one of the most competitive in Europe. Valenciennes F.C. is a soccer club based in Marly, near Valenciennes. Founded in 1913, the club currently plays in Ligue 2, the second division of French soccer.
