The enthusiasm surrounding this sport, during the 2012 J.O. 2012 and at the European Championships in the summer of 2013, will surely advance the number of members. Rugby

Yves-du-Manoir is a very young stadium since it was inaugurated in 2007. Before, Montpellier played on the lawn of Sabathé. Moreover, the latter remains a strong place of rugby, since it is women who have taken possession of the place since. But not only! Indeed, the XIII club of the city is also one of the tenants of the enclosure. As for the new stadium, it is considered one of the most beautiful places in Ovalie in France. An ideal place for a more popular montpellian population with football games. It doesn't matter, because each year the oval ball grows, and it's almost a closed window that the MHR gets the Top 14 cadors. Fans of the Fans' Club or Ovalie 16, the two kops, do not hesitate to give voice to support their favorites.

The club was created in 1974 by Louis Nicollin, the sacred champion of France in 2012, since he was booming. This historic event has brought more and more fans and matches in La Mosson have taken a different scale. But despite this achievement, the club keeps its opening and always welcomes so many new young players. Behind the scenes, recruiters scrupulously observe youth teams looking for future talent. There is no shortage of candidates, as children, from 5 years of age, are still in the club's teams. And even if they don't end up champions, they will learn at least the team spirit.

ANJOU ROLLER DERBY

Team sports

This strange sport, which originated in the USA in the 1920s, arrived in Angers in 2012. It's mainly played by girls. The principle: two teams compete around an oval track, with a jammer (sprinter) completing laps to score points. The opposing team must block her path with their blockers, and her team-mates take charge of protecting her. Roller Derby is a physical, contact sport with a sexy rock feel. Highly regulated, it places great emphasis on the safety of its practitioners. Since 2014, the Intrépide Roller's Dérangées team has given way to the Douleur Angevine (entered in the French championship before Covid) of the Anjou Roller Derby association. Today more than 40 glide addicts train twice a week. Anjou Roller Derby is not only recruiting players, but also anyone wishing to get involved in the association, by refereeing for example! Spectacle guaranteed!

RUGBY CLUB PARIS 15

Rugby
5/5
1 review
Closed - Open to 09h00

It all began in 1968 in the 17th arrondissement of Paris where a group of friends, surfing on the general atmosphere, decided to adopt the slogan "Under the cobblestones, a rugby pitch" and created the RCP 17. Meanwhile, in the 15th arrondissement, two friends decided to create, in 1971, the rugby section within the Omnisport Paris 15. Soon, in addition to the senior team, the rugby school was created, as well as a junior team. Then came the month of July 1990 when, during long evenings of passionate exchanges, several of them, including Michel Huguet of RCP 17 and Jean-Luc Mauger of OP 15, noticed that the strengths of the two clubs were complementary. Administratively linked to the Omnisport Paris 15, OP15/RCP17 therefore moved to the Suzanne Lenglen stadium in the 15th arrondissement. 1996 was a difficult year for the Omnisport institution. In order not to be affected by these setbacks, the rugby section decided to create an independent club. Master of its destiny, the Rugby Club Paris 15 was born.

Since 1996, RCP 15 has been attracting new athletes, children and adults, men and women, beginners and experienced. Thanks to the efforts of everyone, players, volunteers and friends, this small family club is one of the largest rugby clubs in the Île-de-France region. A club that counts and that is recognised by its sporting results as much as by the number of its members; a training club, with rugby schools, and also one of the French clubs most involved in the promotion of women's rugby. Affiliated to the French Rugby Federation, it is also affiliated to the Aveyronnais Federation.
