In the heart of the Ardèche region, this Bee's station, like the one further north in Tournon-sur-Rhône, offers electrically-assisted bicycles for hire for cycling along the Rhône river and other soft paths. Repair, replace, recycle: that's the credo of this France-wide structure dedicated to cycling and cycle tourism. Each station is dedicated to welcoming you, advising and guiding you in your purchases, rentals and bike maintenance.

Prepared by the Meurthe-et-Moselle Departmental Council, Balades 54 takes you on a tour of 326 hiking and mountain bike routes. The sprinter club of Dijon is an association of type law 1901, created in 1993 by taking the estate of DOC (Dijon Olympic cycling). The club is affiliated with the French Cycling Federation (FFC) but also with two affinitary federations: The Sports Gymnic Federation (FSGT) and the French Union of Secular Works of Physical Education (UFOLEP). Its purpose is to offer its licensees all the activities of cycling (cycling cycling, cyclo-cross, runway, ATV and BMX). It is a French team of amateur cycling with more than 300 licensees, making it the first cycling club in the metropolis. Organizer of numerous events (competitions, championships and training) and talent trainer. SCO Dijon is a safe value for cyclism and even national, since in 2015 the club completed the French Cup DN 1 to the 15 ^th place.

Departing from Boucieu-le-Roi station, enjoy the great outdoors! Along the valley of the Doux, enjoy a 360° panorama on board carts driven by a set of pedals. Several descents are available: the Chestnut tree descent with the crossing of beautiful viaducts, the Narrows descent in the heart of the Doux gorges and the Grande Aventure, the most sportive. The Canal du Midi map is an interactive map of the greenway where you will find a lot of useful information. The greenway stretches over a distance of 250 km and includes a 65 km stretch of cycle track between the Tarn and the Garonne. You will ride in complete safety because it is entirely reserved for non-motorized travel, unlike the véloroutes. Ideal to travel by bike and discover the treasures of the Thau Archipelago.

Glenn Ford is a true sportsman, who enjoys walking, running and cycling. With his passion for cycling, he organizes bike tours through the vineyards and along the Wine Route. The equipment provided is top-notch: 21-speed hybrid bikes or e-bikes, helmets, panniers, mineral water, energy bars, support vehicle... As a bonus on your cycling tour, you'll be able to stop off for a picnic in the countryside, lunch in a good Alsatian restaurant, or visit the cellars of famous winegrowers.

Fun Bike Center is first and foremost a bicycle shop. But to explore the paths of Vallespir, you can rent electric mountain bikes from Haibike, model 2018. The whole team of the shop is also there to guide you towards the trails and loops marked out according to your level. And in the area, there is no shortage of paths and trails and they will take you up to the border ridges at an altitude of over 1000 m. The Mountain Bike-FFC Catalan Pyrenees area has more than 40 approved circuits on more than 690 km of tracks and trails... so get in the saddle!

The green track takes over 15 kilometres of an old railway line from Bassignac to Cheyssac, passing through Ydes. The difference in altitude is very slight and the approaches are safe. Explanatory panels help you to understand the history of the place you are crossing and fitness areas punctuate the route to keep you stretching. It will delight sports enthusiasts and families.

The association Sou des écoles and the USEP organize every year a nice walk or mountain bike ride to discover the beautiful green area of Chimilin! L'Alpe-d'Huez is famous for its emblematic climb, which is a recurring feature of the Tour de France, even though it is not the steepest. The Tour's regular visits, and the often decisive importance of this stage, have contributed to its international renown. Every day, some 300 cyclists of all nationalities tackle this climb. Every July, the resort is also the venue for the finish of the La Marmotte cyclosportive, bringing together some 6,000 to 7,000 participants.
The climb has 21 bends, a vertical drop of 1,121 metres, an average gradient of 7.9% and a maximum of 14%. Alpe-d'Huez also offers an exceptional mountain biking area, with over 250 km of marked trails, including 5 downhill runs, and the Mégavalanche, the world's longest downhill run over 30 kilometers, linking the resort to neighboring villages in the Grandes Rousses massif.
Alpe-d'Huez hosted the first Tour de France finish in 1952, won by Fausto Coppi. It took almost a quarter of a century for the Oisans resort to return to the Tour schedule. Since then, the finishes have multiplied, building the legend of the climb, with memorable duels such as those between Bernard Thévenet and Hennie Kuiper, or Greg LeMond and Laurent Fignon, as well as the famous photo finish of Bernard Hinault and Greg LeMond hand in hand. Since 1995, Italy's Marco Pantani has held the record for the fastest climb in 36 minutes and 40 seconds, at an average speed of over 23 km/h!

These are two electric bike tours to do with the family on a beautiful day. To the north, the circuit of the Sioule, partly wooded, allows you to pass over two viaducts. It is the most popular and the shortest. In the south, the circuit of Gannat, crosses the agricultural plain of Limagne and the village of Saulzet, with a panoramic view of the countryside. If you really have time, you can complete the whole of the two circuits in 3 hours and 15 minutes. They also offer a day package with a bycicle in the morning and a canoe in the afternoon departing from Ebreuil.

Lyon Sprint Evolution is a sports school located in Lyon, at 27-29 Rue Garon Duret. The club offers a range of cycling-related activities, including leisure cycling, health cycling, cycling school and competition at national 1 women's level. The club also takes part in cycling competitions and events, such as the Race Across France, the Born To Ride, the AURA CLM Championship and the Trophée National des Jeunes sur Piste. These events enable club members to compete against other cyclists and proudly represent Lyon Sprint Evolution. The club is also committed to developing women's cycling, and has a National 2 Women's team.

At the top of the sensations! The Segway gyropod is a mechanical device on which you stand and which will take you on small country roads. We love this unusual way of getting around that is accessible to everyone. It is an ideal and original way to discover the Ardennes landscape while having fun. Arden'Gyropode organizes excursions: you will be initiated, accompanied by a guide who will coach you, all for an affordable price. A fleet of 13 velorails is at your disposal to travel the 13 km (round trip) of this old railroad line going from Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire to Sancerre. It is a very beautiful part of the department, bathed by the Eure and dotted with ponds, that this cycling circuit runs. The most remarkable elements of the journey are in the second part, in the vicinity of Saint-Luperce. At this place, the road runs through the river, sometimes in the shade of the weeping willows that drive on the banks of the Eure, and passes in front of the castle of Blanville. The ponds of Haraumont, along the road, are also very pleasant and peaceful corners where few cars venture.

From the bend in the Rhine at Basel, there are numerous cycle paths for cycling enthusiasts, such as the Rhine Trail (Véloroute Rhin), the Rhine Valley Trail, the Three Borders Trail, the Green Route, to which the Freiburg-Mulhouse trail is linked, and the EuroVelo6 Atlantic-Black Sea. A great variety of routes along the Rhine, passing from one country to another thanks to 3 bridges. Whether you're a sporty cyclist or a family rider, there's a route to suit everyone. There's even a 10 km track for inline skaters!

A section of EuroVélo 6 overlaps with the Voie Bleue Moselle-Saône (between Samerey and Chalon-sur-Saône), a 700 km waterside escape from Luxembourg to Lyon. EuroVélo 6 links the Atlantic to the Black Sea, with 4,450 km of signposted cycle routes between the ocean and Constanța, Romania. The Canal de Bourgogne and the Canal du Centre allow you to reach Beaune and Dijon via the towpaths and vineyards.

The club, which is a member of the French Cycling Federation, has around sixty members of all ages. Every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, training starts at the Béziers wine cooperative. The riders, supervised by a team of three Federation-certified instructors, cover distances of around one hundred kilometers. The VCCB, Vélo Club des Cheminots du Biterrois, takes part in all competitions in the south of France. There is no membership fee, just a license fee.

Road racing, cyclo-cross, mountain biking: the BMC supports all cycling disciplines. This particularly dynamic club has counted in its ranks some great names in cycling: Stéphane Barthe, professional French champion in road competition, Roger Mascaro and Emmanuelle Marevery, respectively French champion and member of the French team. The BMC organizes numerous competitions and travels for them throughout France.

La Binouze Biker... A mysteriously hilarious name for a crazy orienteering and puzzle race of around 10 km by bike, in teams of 2 to 5. To put it simply, you pedal your way through the city to different stopping points, where you'll find riddles to solve in order to reach the next one, and so on until you reach your final destination: the bar! Or the restaurant, depending on the more or less serious theme of the race (latest editions: welsh, retirement...). In any case, a wild evening awaits you!

Starting from the town hall of Wandignies-Hamage, this easy circuit follows small roads and agricultural paths through the typical landscapes of the Scarpe and the limestone plateau of Ostrevent. You will notice the censes, alignments of pollarded willows, the marshes, to which are added witnesses of the mining industry: the power station of Hornaing and the slag heaps as well as a beautiful fauna. In rainy periods, remember to bring waterproof shoes.

This is a very varied circuit! The trail starts in Rieulay and takes you through the surrounding meadows, poplar groves and marshes. Choose the period from April to October to avoid the wettest season. Ponds and pretty woodlands will enliven your hike. Note also the diversity of the hedgerows: willows, hornbeams, oaks, beeches, hazels, alders and wildlife, delighted to enjoy both the wetlands and the trees.

This circuit without difficulty starts from Tilloy-lez-Marchiennes, to discover characteristic environments of the Scarpe: forests, wet meadows and drainage ditches. Remember to bring binoculars to appreciate the diversity of birds. Roe deer, squirrels, owls will also be able to greet you. In spring, you'll smell the strong odor of wild garlic. And don't leave without your binoculars: in addition to the landscapes, you will be able to observe the diversity of bird species!

Leave Noordpeene in front of the church, then take the road to Zuytpeene. Follow the RD26 and turn off at the cemetery to a farm. Return to Zuytpeene, then follow rue de Mutse, then chemin de Bambrugge. Above a farm, take a country lane, the Abdis Weg, which leads to Watten if you're not careful... But before that, turn off at rue de la Lanterne, then RD209 and then route de Bourbourg, and return to Nordpeene via chemin du Couvent.

See you on the Grand Place Norbert Segard for the start of this tour! On the way by the rue du Tambour to Staek Hower. Bypass Hardifort and pass by the Roman road, then direction Mezeele. From there on, the circuit splits into two: be sure to follow the corresponding one - otherwise 20 km more. Direction Ochtezeele and, after the panorama, we pedal to Zuytpeene... and to Bachincove in the wake. Return to Cassel by the Montagnard and the Rue des Remparts.

The Mont des Récollets circuit entirely surrounds Mont Cassel and Mont des Récollets. Leave Cassel on the D933 down to Bailleul, then take the chemin de la Perche. Go down the Trou du Diable - then follow the Chemin du Temple, turn at the chapel and arrive in the hamlet of Ryveld. Leaving the hamlet, head for Oudezeele via the Flemish streets and, once in the village, follow the allée des Chênes. Continuing along this path, you'll come across Ryveld again, and as you head towards Terdeghem, you'll discover the panorama that is the reason for this walk.

The Creuse Oxygène club association offers the chance to discover mountain biking, both touring and racing. As well as listing cycle rental stores, the organization provides a wealth of information on the best outings on two wheels, on road or track. It also has expertise in BMX, cyclo-cross and motorcycling. Finally, Creuse Oxygène organizes or takes part in several major sporting events throughout the year: Forêt Follies, La Grande Traversée du Limousin, l'Enfer Vert and even the Oxygène Cup.

The Drôme department offers mountain bikers 3,000 km of marked trails from the Vercors plateau to the Albion plateau, from marl to stony paths, from passes to river banks. Saillans is the starting point for ten or so circuits, two of which are really sporty (black circuits), one of which has a difference in altitude of almost 1,000 m! We particularly recommend the circuit of the balconies of the Drôme which offers sumptuous views over the valley. Information at the tourist office in Saillans.

Between sea, marsh and forest, the La-Barre-de-Monts-de-Monts/Fromentine bicycle network offers over 30 km of trails, 10 km of which are in the forest. These trails are reserved for cyclists, or on forest trails. They also sometimes borrow small, quiet roads. The lack of gaps and security and leisure facilities (bicycle, health, picnic areas, water points, inflation areas…) make it an ideal destination for the entire family in all seasons.

From Damvix, three circuits: Vals d'Autize (33 km), des écluses (20 km), des frênes (20 km), which will take you through the wet marsh to enjoy the splendid landscapes. From Le Mazeau, the Garennes circuit (26 km) will take you to visit the characteristic ports and harbors of the region. The port of Courdault will be the starting point of the towpath circuit (16 km) which will take you along the old towpaths. The Ragondins circuit (16 km) starts in Saint-Pierre-le-Vieux and will take you on a small loop between marshes and plains.

This association manages 120 circuits from 4 km to 50 km, accessible to all, specialists as well as beginners, that is to say 2 100 km of marked out paths starting from various communes of the Park of Morvan. On these marked trails you will find Altao washing stations, which allow you to clean your bikes with adapted equipment as well as to check the pressure and inflate the tires. Animations are proposed, in particular mountain bike rides, accompanied by patented guides, for a duration of half a day to several days for groups.

In addition to renting a mountain bike to discover Touraine, you also have the possibility of accompanying your hike with a donkey, which will know how to break the monotony of your walk, or to opt for a descent in a canoe or kayak. You can also go on a 20 km treasure hunt, guided by a GPS. Since 2014, nature and cycling holidays, canoe and kayak tours in Indre-et-Loire and Maine-et-Loire are very popular. Your bikes are delivered where and when you want them on your entire itinerary from the Loire to Vélo.

Located between 1,700 and 2,215 meters above sea level, the Saint-Lary Mountain Bike Park, with its 10 marked trails, is one of the best places for downhill mountain biking in the Pyrenees. Thanks to the Bouleaux chairlift equipped with bike racks, access to the slopes is quick and easy. The trails, suitable for experts and beginners alike, offer a fun and friendly experience. Although the terrain is safe, we strongly recommend that you wear the correct equipment: helmets and gloves are mandatory. Children under 12 must be supervised.

A network of exceptional mountain bike trails offers routes to suit all levels, from the green trail, ideal for beginners, to the black trail, reserved for experts. The kilometre-long green trail is specially designed, offering gentle descents and magnificent panoramic views. Lifts make it easy to climb to the top, although some may prefer to pedal up the slopes. Itineraries such as the 7 chapels route allow you to discover the surrounding heritage.

The 12-hectare lake lies just below the village. You can swim there (under supervision) in July and August. You can rent pedal boats, canoes and kayaks, and above all mountain bikes! The lake's mountain bike base is the starting point for five circuits. The most difficult is Mont Gargan (30 km), and the easiest is La Villetelle (5 km). There are also tennis courts, a volleyball court, table tennis and children's playground. Numerous activities are offered during the summer. A pleasant setting.

To discover the Châtillonnais in general and the magnificent state forest of Châtillon-sur-Seine, which became a National Park in November 2019, choose mountain biking! Indeed, the tourist office allows you to discover nine marked trails in the eleventh French national park, the largest after that of Guyana. The introductory circuit of the Weasel (12 km) is a walk during which you may be lucky enough to spot a wild animal. The Charcoal Trail (27 km) is a mix of stony roads and forest lines. The Sentier à la Biche circuit (34 km) allows you to compose your route according to your desires. The most courageous will choose the circuit La Forêt de Châtillon (75 km) or the circuit of Fayard (89 km) which concern the amateurs of long excursions in mountain bike while that of Combes (25 km) is more sporting and has many points of view on the valley of Ource. Sportsmen can try the Val des Choues (37 km) which combines technicality and diversity. For lovers of crémant, take a breather on the Route du Crémant circuit (68 km)... Finally, to discover the remains of ancient castles and the historical heritage of Châtillonnais, choose the circuit Les Hauts Plateaux (56 km). You will find, at the tourist office, in the local branches in season and by downloading on the Internet the circuit which will suit you and which will combine at best your level, your desires and your time!

Between two rivers, the Via Fluvia links the Loire to the Rhône. This new greenway is currently being developed as a bicycle route similar to the Via Rhôna, using bucolic itineraries. This new cycling route in France opens onto a large, preserved and spectacular outdoor paradise. Of the 8 Via Fluvia routes, two leave from Annonay along the Drôme, one joins the Lac de Vert, the other, currently under construction, will join the Via Rhôna at Serrières. In the meantime, a link to the Via Rhôna is possible through the beautiful Cance valley.

Orléans offers many possibilities for cycling and cycle touring enthusiasts. The USO Free Bike is a mountain bike club with around 40 members of different levels and ages. The club organizes group outings on a variety of routes throughout the year. There are no fixed weekly training sessions, but an annual schedule of meetings is proposed for interesting organizations. Everyone is free to participate and share the cost of car pooling. In addition, Sunday outings are organized several times a month by the club's rando referent. USO Free Bike also takes part in cross-country competitions at departmental, regional and national level, as well as randonnees, raids and 24h VTT. The club strives to offer a wide range of activities, so that everyone can practice according to their desires and abilities.

Thanks to its 1,000-meter vertical drop, Le Seignus becomes a favorite spot for mountain bikers during the summer season! With 8 signposted downhill itineraries, there's something for beginners and experts alike. The Clos-Bertrand and Gros-Tapys cable cars and chairlifts provide easy access to the top three green, two blue and three red runs. The site is also accredited by the French Cycling Federation for its numerous cross-country and boardercross loops and itineraries.
