Bike races France

The first stage race of the year in the European professional calendar, in the international professional circuit UCI Europe Tour, the Étoile de Bessèges was founded in 1971 by a former cyclist in love with the Gard, Roland Fangille. In five stages, including the traditional time trial in Alès that ends at the top of the Hermitage climb, it is considered one of the preparatory races for Paris-Nice in March. A team of volunteers, in a strong family spirit, works to keep the race alive with all the passion of its creator.

The Grand Loop will take place from July 5 to 27, 2008. Like every year, it will travel through roads and passes in our region where runners will spend six days, five stages and one day of rest:

12 July: Figeac-Toulouse (174 km)

13 July: Toulouse - Bagnères de Bigorre (222 km)

14 July: Pau-Hautacam (154 km)

15 July: Rest in the Upper Pyrenees

16 July: Lanemezan-Foix (166 km)

17 July: Lavelanet-Narbonne (168 km)

An indispensable appointment is waiting every year for more or less trained amateurs of all terrain bikes: on the last weekend of September, the famous Kitten Trophy brings together thousands of mountain biking lovers in the Forêt-le-Guillaume forest. She carries her name in the event of rain before the race! Counsel: you have an interest in registering early if you don't want to remain a spectator… The weekend begins with a 15 km or 30 km walk on Saturday morning, followed by the Kitten's Kid, a mountain bike test for young people aged 7 to 14 years. Hikes are organised on Sunday morning: from 15 km to 50 km. On Sunday afternoon, a course consisting of one loop will see amateurs and professionals struggling on a technical ground: Three races are organized, 25 km, 40 km or 55 km… The registration is 6 € for juniors and 13 € for adults.

On 8 May 2009, Saint-Genix on Guiers and Yenne celebrate Cycling and cycling, a cycle trail linking the Mediterranean to the Mediterranean. You can test the portion of rides between Yenne and Brégnier Cordon by bike, roller, wheelchair. But also ask your cycle and go on canoeing on the Rhone. Competition for funny bikes. La Franche-Comté welcomes the Tour de France for three days: July 7 a step in Haute-Saone on July 8, departure from Belfort Territory, and on July 9 one against the watch between Arc-et-Senans and Besançon. A beautiful feast in perspective, to vibrate for a day with the runners. The caravan should also bring a lot of surprises. Don't miss it!

Mountain bike ride of 25, 40 and 55 kilometers. Departure from the bike relay point in Créon. Registration on site at 8 am.

25 th edition and 4 new exceptional courses. Usability is the watchword of the test. Entertainment, concerts and shows take place in Ambert and in the municipalities crossed, as well as the greedy refuelling on the 3 routes, and a village of know-how and gastronomy on the arrival stage… Since the creation of the test, 28 500 participants have shared these rare moments, together with the 600 volunteers involved.

The Black Woods Mountain Mountain Bike Area and the Black Woods Mountain Club organize every year, every last Sunday in June, the Bois Noir Oxygen whose starting point travels within Space over the years. It is a hike that breaks into several circuits with a raid of about 75 km and several courses for all levels, different from year to year, 15, 25 and 35 km.

This summer, the Tour de France passes through Praz de Lys Sommand and Taninges! It is on July 15th that the brave cyclists will face the famous Col de la Ramaz, in an idyllic setting for the spectators and sporting for the competitors. On July 16th, the Tour will pass through the village of Taninges. For this occasion, two animated evenings will take place. For the amateur cyclists, you have the opportunity to ride the Annemasse-Morzine stage on July 9th and to precede the champions.

Prior to arrival on the Champs-Elysées, the penultimate steps of La Grande Loop take place in Savoie Mont-Blanc. In perspective, great sports moments and outstanding suspens. On July 19, with the ascent of the Glandon, Madeleine and Fry passes, followed by diving on the Grand-Bornand, 12 km long. On July 20, the arrival at Lake will be the hold-up of the last chance after the climb of the ascents, including that of Mount Revard? Passage to Saint-Colomban-des-Villards, Sainte-Marie-de-Cuines, the Chamber, Saint-François-Longchamp, La Léchère, Albertville on July 19 and July 21st to Bellecombe-en-Bauges, Le Châtelard, Aillon-le-Jeune, Saint-Jean-d'Arvey, La Féclaz and Trévignin.

Vélocio has been around for over 100 years. Several routes are on offer, ranging from 30 to 95 km. On the program: on closed roads, a 12 km climb in modo chrono or a hike uphill. The program attracts around a hundred cycling enthusiasts, who set off on the slope of the famous Col de la République, at the summit of which stands a monument to the memory of Paul de Vivie (1853-1930), a leading figure in French cycle touring nicknamed... Vélocio. This event is open to all - some participants are over 80 years old! Come as you are, trained or not, retro or not, on a bike, a unicycle or an electric bike - the only thing that counts is good humor. So saddle up!
