Day 1

DAY 1 - SUNDAY - ARRIVAL IN MUSCAT AND CITY TOUR

Day 1 - Sunday Arrival in Muscat and city tour On arrival at Muscat international airport, you will complete the formalities to obtain an entry visa. You will then collect your luggage. Customs formalities and baggage reclaim are quick and easy. You will then be greeted by our Miracle Oman representative.

Transfer to the hotel for check-in (guaranteed from 2pm).

In the afternoon, departure for the Royal Opera House; the first palace dedicated to opera music in the Arabian Peninsula, it is an example of original Arab architecture. Continue to the Al-Alam Palace, residence of the Sultan; photo stop only on the exterior. It is surrounded by two Portuguese forts, Mirani and Jilali, dating from the 17th century. We continue to the old town, stopping to visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum (which houses several collections of objects representative of Omani culture). Transfer to the port for a sunset boat trip along the shores of Muscat (2h tour) before arriving in Mutrah, a fishing port and important local commercial center. Free time to explore the typical souk, which has retained all its oriental atmosphere. At the end of the tour, transfer to your hotel and overnight stay.

DAY 2 - MONDAY - MUSCAT - MOSQUE - BAIT AL GHASHAM - NAKHL - MUSCAT

Steps: Nakhal

Breakfast. At 9:00 am Departure to discover the capital of the Sultanate, founded in the 1st century and a crossroads between the Arabian Peninsula, Asia and Africa. The day begins with a visit to the great mosque of Sultan Qaboos, an architectural masterpiece. Departure for the Batinah region, one of the country's most fertile coasts. The first stop is the village of Barka, to discover the fish market. Continue on to the Bait al Ghassam Museum, housed in a former Omani castle and traditional residence of the Omani nobility. Lunch in a local restaurant.

We continue to Nakhl, an ancient village surrounded by palm trees, famous for its fort and thermal springs; visit the fort, built in the 16th century on a rocky outcrop, which belonged to the Imam of the Bani Kharous dynasty, later Yarubah. Continue to Ain Thowara, a thermal spring. Free time. Return to Muscat.

DAY 3 - TUESDAY - MUSCAT - BIMAH SINKHOLE - WADI TIWI - SUR - RAS AL JINZ (300 KM)

Steps: Ras Al Jinz

We have breakfast. Departure for Bimah Sinkhole, a deep natural depression full of water. Local tradition has it that a meteorite fell here, causing the natural depression and forming a small lake. Continuing on to Wadi Tiwi, a spectacular deep, narrow gorge carved out of the mountains, descending between sheer cliffs to the sea. It is surrounded by lush plantations of date palms and banana trees. Lunch in a local restaurant.

Departure for the coastal town of Sur; visit to the dhow factory (traditional wooden boats), which vary in design and size. Afterwards, photo stop at Ajya lighthouse.

Arrive at your hotel in Sur and after dinner, take an evening excursion to the Ras Al Jinz turtle reserve, world-famous for the nesting of the endangered green turtle, Chelonia mydas. This is probably the largest concentration of nesting turtles in the Indian Ocean.

DAY 4 - WEDNESDAY - RAS AL HADD - WADI BANI KHALID - WAHIBA SANDS (280 KM)

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Wadi Bani Khaled; an enchanting Wadi with its landscape surrounded by date palm plantations as far as the eye can see. The Wadi's natural pools are cool, deep and absolutely breathtaking. Free time to dive and relax in these crystal-clear waters. Lunch in a local restaurant.

Continuation to the Wahiba Desert, land of the Bedouins for 7,000 years, whose dunes stretch 185 km long and 80 km wide to the Arabian Sea. Adventure tour among the dunes, to enjoy an exciting desert sunset while tasting typical Arabic coffee. Return to camp, Bedouin dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 5 - THURSDAY - WAHIBA SANDS - ZUKAIT VILLAGE - JABAL AKDHAR (330 KM)

We have breakfast. Departure for the Sinaw market (held every Thursday), a very popular market due to its proximity to the Bedouin community, who come here to buy basic products and sell their livestock and handicrafts. Then it's on to Zukayt. Zukayt in the governorate of Ad Dakhiliyah is a town in Oman, about 103 km south-west of Muscat, the country's capital. Zukayt is a beautiful village nestled at the foot of the Al Hajar mountain range. Visit Bait Al Zukyt (House of Zukayt), the oldest house in the village, built by Omanis using unique Omani techniques. Lunch with local family.

Continuing our journey, we climb to the cool heights of Jabal Al Akhdar, also known as Green Mountain. This picturesque area offers terraced gardens and a cool, temperate climate, making it the perfect break from the desert heat. Enjoy the beauty of the landscape and the pure mountain air. You'll take part in a walking tour of Jabal Akdhar through the villages.

Day 6

DAY 6 - FRIDAY - JABAL AKDHAR - CITY OF NIZWA - JABREEN - JABAL AKDHAR (120 KM)

We have breakfast. Departure for NIZWA, the internal capital and cradle of Islam in the Sultanate of Oman. It was the capital of many imams and enjoyed a period of prosperity under the Ya'ruba dynasty, which ruled the country from 1624 to 1744. It is home to one of the oldest mosques in the world (photo opportunity outside). Start with a visit to the animal market in Nizwa, followed by the Nizwa fort, watchtower and cattle market, where you can enjoy the bustling atmosphere, a unique experience immersed in the lively atmosphere. The bustling atmosphere of the souk is a sensory delight, with the aroma of spices, the shine of brass ware and the chatter of vendors creating a vibrant canvas of local life. You'll also be able to witness traditional Omani goldsmithing by skilled craftsmen. Lunch in a local restaurant.

Our journey takes us from Muscat to the historic Jabreen Castle, an architectural marvel featuring intricate wood carvings, painted ceilings and a rich history dating back to the 17th century. As you explore the castle, you'll gain an insight into Oman's cultural and historical heritage. Afterwards, stop off at Bahla Fort for a photo opportunity. Return to Jabal Akdhar.

Day 7

DAY 7 - SATURDAY - JABAL AKDHAR - MISFAT - AGRICULTURAL TOWER - BAIT AL SAFA - MUSCAT AIRPORT (300 KM)

Breakfast at the hotel. Next stop: Misfat Al Abrein, a picturesque village clinging to the side of a mountain. As you stroll through this beautiful village, where time seems to have stood still, you'll be touched by the simplicity and friendliness of its inhabitants.

Join our special agricultural tour to get an insight into the daily life of an Omani farmer. Learn about different farming tools and even get the chance to help the farmer with his daily chores. You'll see a variety of agricultural products and seasonal fruit plantations on this informative tour. Lunch at Misfat House.

Next, you'll visit Bait Al Safah, where, in the heart of the village, you'll discover a traditional mud house, whose various parts tell the story of Oman's ancient times (around 300 years ago). The women will show you the crafts of yesteryear: the production of flour, powdered medicines, local pancakes... During the visit, you'll be offered Omani coffee (kawa) and dates. Lunch time. Return to Muscat, transfer to the airport at 5.30pm.
