Day 1: Arrival in Luxor

Steps: Louxor

Flight to Luxor (Egyptair or other airlines via Cairo or direct to Luxor).

Arrival in Luxor, greeted by our representative at the airport.

Transfer to the pier. Installation aboard your "Dahabiya sur le Nil" in Luxor.

Day 2: Luxor

Steps: Louxor

After breakfast, visit the architectural complex of Karnak temple. This temple was linked to Luxor Temple by an avenue of human-headed Sphinxes.

Visit Luxor Temple, dedicated to the Theban Triad: Amun, Mut and Khonsu. You can admire one of the two obelisks that adorn the entrance to this edifice, the second of which is on the Place de la Concorde in Paris.

Stroll around the city at your leisure.

Optional: sound and light show at the Karnak temples.


Day 3: Luxor / Esna

Steps: Louxor, Esna

After breakfast, visit the Valley of the Kings, a group of dozens of tombs scattered at the foot of a rocky mountain, where most of the pharaohs of the 18th and 20th dynasties were buried. Discover the temple of Medinet Habu, the funerary temple of Ramses III and the most famous building in Thebes in antiquity. Visit to Queen Hatshepsut's funerary temple at Deir El Bahari, commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut for herself and her father. Photo stop in front of the Colossi of Memnon.

Day 4: ESNA / EL KAB / EDFOU

Steps: Esna, Edfou, El-Kab

Sailing to Edfu. Visit El Kab, the tomb of Ahmosis "son of Abana, Chief of the Nautoniers", the tomb of Paheri "grandson of Ahmosis, Prefect of Nekheb", the tomb of Ahmosis "known as Pennekhbet, Keeper of the Royal Seal". Visit to the Ptolemaic temple of Edfu, with its 2 monumental black granite falcon statues, pylon, courtyard, columns, vestibule, hypostyle hall, 2 antechambers, sanctuary and corridor.

Day 5: EDFOU / GEBEL SILSILLA / KOM OMBO

Steps: Edfou, Kôm-Ombo

Breakfast on board. Discovery of Gebel Silsilla. Legend has it that the river was once dammed here by a chain stretched from rock to rock. Silsilla was Egypt's main sandstone quarry.
Sailing to Kom Ombo. Visit the only double temple, the Ptolemaic temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the crocodile-headed god Sobek and the falcon-headed god Haroeris.


Day 6: Kom Ombo / Aswan

Steps: Kôm-Ombo, Assouan

Sailing to Aswan. Visit the Temple of Philae, a Ptolemaic temple dedicated to the goddess Isis, whose finesse and beauty you will admire. The temple was completely dismantled and rebuilt on the nearby island of Agilka.

Optional: sound and light show at the temples of Philae.


Day 7: Aswan

Steps: Assouan, Abou Simbel

Free day on board. Optional: You can travel to Abu Simbel for a visit to the two Abu Simbel temples, the southern one erected to the glory of Ramses II, the northern one dedicated to his great royal wife Nefertari.

You can visit the Nubian Art Museum, housing 2,000 pieces from the latest archaeological discoveries in Nubia.

You can also visit the tombs of the monarchs.


Day 8: ASWAN / CAIRO / PARIS

Steps: Assouan

Breakfast, disembarkation from the boat

, transfer to Aswan airport, flight for final departure
