Day 1: Arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport

You will meet your driver guide at Dar es Salaam airport and our representative. Transfer to the Slipway Hotel for the night.

Day 2: Route Dar es Salaam - Selous Game Reserve

Steps: Selous Reserve - Nyerere National Park

After breakfast you will be collected from the hotel for the drive to Selous (4-5 hours). In the afternoon you will participate in a game drive along the mighty Rufiji River where you will see many hippos, crocodiles and birds. Overnight at Selous River Camp - BLD

Day 3: Selous Reserve

Steps: Selous Reserve - Nyerere National Park

You will participate in a full day private game drive in the Selous Game Reserve, the largest wildlife sanctuary in Africa, with an area of 54,600 km - larger than Denmark and 4 times the size of the Serengeti!


Selous has the largest number of large animals in the world - Elephant, Buffalo and Rhinos, but also wildebeest, eland, giraffe, waterbuck, zebra, impala, hippo, leopard and lion, not to mention over 350 species of birds. Dinner and overnight at Selous River Camp - BLD

Day 4: Direction Selous Game Reserve then Mikumi National Park

Steps: Mikumi National Park

Early in the morning walking safari in search of "close" encounters near the village. Return to camp for breakfast. Afterwards, game drive through the Selous Game Reserve, then drive to Mikumi National Park - afternoon game drive. Overnight at Stanley's Kopje Camp - BLD

Day 5: Mikumi National Park

Steps: Mikumi National Park

Full day game drives in Mikumi National Park.

On these safaris you will see a rich variety of bird species, as well as a large number of giraffe, buffalo and elephant. If you are lucky, you may also spot lions, leopards and African wild dogs. Animals likely to be seen include zebras, hippos, Hartebeest, Wildebeest, Impala, Warthog, Eland and Antelope. Overnight at Stanley's Kopje Camp - BLD

Day 6: Road to Ruaha National Park

Steps: Ruaha National Park

Morning game drive with picnic lunch to Ruaha National Park, lunch en route. In the afternoon you will arrive at Ruaha River Lodge. Here there are many different types of birds, wild flowers, butterflies and trees that can be seen around. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge - BLD

Day 7: Ruaha National Park

Steps: Ruaha National Park

After breakfast, full day game drive in Ruaha National Park, with picnics for lunch. Ruaha has an area of 10,300 km2 and is the second largest park in Tanzania and the second largest elephant sanctuary. The great Ruaha River that flows along its eastern border creates spectacular gorges and scenery, where large numbers of hippos and crocodiles are present. The wide variety of animals that inhabit the park include both the large kudu and the smaller Roan and Antelope. Bird life is also rich, with over 370 species recorded. Day 8: Ruaha National Park

Day 9: Direction Udzungwa Mountains National Park

Steps: Udzungwa Mountains National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Hondo Hondo Tented Camp and lunch en route. Afternoon walking tours around Mang'ula village where you will experience typical Tanzanian daily life. Back at the camp before dinner, enjoy watching the baboons around the spectacular bar while admiring the sunset. Dinner and overnight at Udzungwa Forest Camp (Hondo Hondo)

Day 10: Randonnée Udzungwa - Sanje Waterfalls

Steps: Udzungwa Mountains National Park

After breakfast, drive to the park gate and begin hiking through the beautiful primary forest from the base to the top of the spectacular 180m Sanje Waterfall looking for primates on the way (Iringa Red Colobus and Sanje Mangabey). Swim below and see the endemic African violets growing in the spray areas. Lunch in the forest at the top of the falls. Descend after enjoying the beautiful views.


Return to camp in the late evening for your hot dinner and overnight stay at Udzungwa Forest Camp (Hondo Hondo)

Day 11: Transfer to Dar Es Salaam

After breakfast transfer to Dar Es Salaam - lunch box provided.
