Karnak and Luxor

The trip begins with a visit to the gigantic Temple of Karnak, one of the most impressive religious complexes of antiquity. The site covers more than a kilometre and is made up of chapels, obelisks and sanctuaries built over the centuries. The Great Hypostyle Hall, with its 134 monumental columns engraved with hieroglyphics, gives an idea of the power of the pharaohs. After this discovery, the day continues at Luxor Temple, located in the heart of the city. The play of light at sunset highlights the sculpted reliefs and the majestic alignment of sphinxes leading up to the sanctuary. The night is spent in Luxor in a refined hotel, a prelude to sailing.
Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the Temple of Ramses and the Colossi of Memnon
In the morning, explore the west bank of the Nile with the Valley of the Kings, a royal necropolis containing more than sixty tombs carved out of the limestone rock. Each tomb features colourful paintings illustrating the passage to the afterlife. The tour also includes the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a masterpiece of monumental architecture, as well as a stop to visit the Temple of Millions of Years of King Ramses 3, also known as the Wonder of Wonders. Finally a stop in front of the imposing Colossi of Memnon.
Afternoon free in Luxor and overnight at the hotel.
After lunch, transfer to Esna where you will join your dahabeya, an elegant sailing boat. The crew will give you a warm welcome before a leisurely first sail to El Hegz. Dinner is served on deck, under the starry sky, in an intimate atmosphere

In the late morning, transfer to Esna where you will join your dahabeya, an elegant sailing boat. The crew will give you a warm welcome before a leisurely first sail to El Hegz. Dinner is served on deck, under the starry sky, in an intimate atmosphere.
Al-Kab, Edfu, Ramadi

After breakfast, the dahabeya continues on its way to El-Kab, an ancient fortified capital whose massive walls still bear witness to its past grandeur. The site is home to several tombs decorated with rural and military scenes, providing a unique insight into daily life in the Pharaonic era. From here, the journey continues to Edfu, home to one of the best-preserved temples in ancient Egypt: the sanctuary of Horus. 37 metres high and decorated with frescoes detailing the legends of the falcon god, this monument impresses with its exceptional state of preservation. The evening ends in Ramadi, in the heart of a peaceful setting on the banks of the Nile.
Bassaw ,Gebel el Silsileh and Maniha
After breakfast, we head for the island and village of Bassaw, where the picturesque narrow streets and brightly-coloured houses reveal the charm of rural Egypt. Travellers will discover a simple and friendly way of life, rooted in tradition, and a stroll among the mango trees. Back on the boat, we sail to Gebel el Silsileh, have lunch on board and then head out to discover Gebel el Silsileh, the site where sandstone used to be extracted to build the country's largest temples. A walk among the cliffs reveals ancient inscriptions and a small rock sanctuary dedicated to the pharaoh Horemheb. Later, the dahabeya resumes sailing to Maniha. Dinner and overnight on board.
Kom Ombo, Daraw, Aswan

In the morning, the Dahabeya sets sail for Kom Ombo, whose unique temple is distinguished by its double dedication: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. This fascinating monument houses unique medical reliefs and adjoins a museum devoted to crocodile mummies. We then take a shared taxi to Daraw, where we stroll through the Daraw market, renowned for its colourful stalls, fragrant spices and lively atmosphere. Depending on the day, it is possible to visit the camel or animal market, offering a unique immersion in local commercial life. After lunch, sail to Aswan, enjoy the scenery of the Nile, and the sunset, dinner and overnight on board.
Philae, the high dam
Steps: Assouan
The final morning begins with breakfast on deck, lulled by the tranquility of the Nile. Before leaving the dahabeya, departure for a visit to the temple of Philae and the high dam at Aswan.
After this final highlight, transfer to the airport for the international flight back home. The journey ends with the memory of the splendour of the landscapes, the power of the monuments and the refined charm of navigation on the Nile.
