Stay : A week in the south of Cyprus

This idea for a week's stay will allow you to visit the main sights and attractions of the island. This type of tour is easier if you have a vehicle; without it, Troodos and some inland villages are more difficult to reach. But all the tourist sites are also accessible by bus.

Day 1: Arrival in Larnaca and discovery of the city

Steps: Larnaka

A stroll through the city to acclimatise to the Cypriot atmosphere: picturesque Turkish districts and église Saint-Lazare,a stroll along the seafront and its terraces. With a little time, you can visit the Piérides Museum and, to the north of the city, Sultan Tekke's mosque by the salt lake. But if you are tired from the trip, a few hours of rest on Mackenzie Beach will be welcome.

Day 2: Towards Limassol

Steps: Pyrga, Kalavassos, Tochni, Lefkara, Limassol

In one day, you will reach Limassol via the small roads of the coast and sometimes move inside the land. There are many possible judgments: The Stravovouni monastery, perched at 700 m above sea level, offering a superb panorama on the coast; the village of Lefkara for its architecture and its craft (lace); the picturesque villages of Kalavassos and Stone. In the evening you will enjoy the atmosphere of Limassol with a few cafés and a tavern.

Places of interest :
MONASTÈRE DE STAVROVOUNI

Day 3: Archaeological sites in Paphos

Steps: Paphos

Direction Paphos by taking the coastal route. The opportunity to stop at the magnificent amphitheatre of Kourion overlooking the sea. But we will also discover a cut coast where the white cliffs plunge into the blue sea (the rocks of Aphrodite are there). In the afternoon, in Paphos, the old harbour will be visited, especially the ancient site and the beautiful mosaics that make the city famous.

Day 4: On the roads to the Troodos massif

Steps: Platres, Agros, Pedoulas, Kakopetria, Omodos, Arsos, Lofou

There are many routes to the Troodos massif. Whatever one chooses, it will allow you to cross beautiful landscapes and picturesque villages where, in the evening, we will not fail to stop to recover. The route chosen will depend on the accommodation location: a resort equipped with hotels (Platres, Pedoulas, Agros or Kakopetria) or - and this is the ideal - a village where you can find traditional houses renovated in pensions (Arsos, Omodos, Lofou, etc.).

Day 5: Exploration around the Troodos massif

You will spend the day discovering the region either by taking one of the superb hiking trails, for the pleasure of walking in the fragrant forest, or by car to the monastery of Kykkos, or picturesque villages. In the evening, you can reach Nicosia directly.

Day 6: Visit to the Capital

Steps: Nicosie

The capital will allow you to discover Cyprus on the city side. Two "must-see" activities: walking through the old town and visiting the most beautiful museum on the island (Cyprus Museum). With 2 or 3 hours ahead of you, a quick visit to the north of Nicosia is possible.

Places of interest :
MUSÉE DE CHYPRE

Day 7: Relax on the beach

For a last day, you can only enjoy the sun and the sea at Agia Napa.
