Stay : Taking on the Jamaican greens

A golfer's paradise! This is how the director of Constant Spring Golf Club in Kingston calls Jamaica. No less than 12 courses, including some of the most famous in the Caribbean, on a tropical island as big as Corsica. The Tryall course, for example, hosts the Johnnie Walker World Championships every year and the Breezes course, the Jamaica Open and the Heineken Trophy

Detail of the stay : Taking on the Jamaican greens - 5 days

  • Ocho Rios
  • Runaway Bay
  • Montego Bay

Day 1: Day 1: Arrival in Kingston

Once you've checked into your hotel, warm up with a trip to the Caymanas Golf and Country Club. Not only will you get a breath of fresh air less than 10 km from Kingston, but you'll also enjoy a green setting with some stunning views. The swimming pool will finish off your relaxation.

Day 2: Day 2. Ochos Rios

Steps: Ocho Rios

Head to the north coast and Ochos Rios for a day at one of the most popular golf courses on the island: Sandals Golf and Country Club. Although it used to have only 9 holes, today you can enjoy a long 18-hole course, with greens that sometimes give you a hard time, before going to one of the very good restaurants of the club

Day 3: Day 3. North Coast

Steps: Runaway Bay

For this third day of practice, head west along the coast to either Runaway Bay Club and its 18 holes to learn how to handle one of the factors here - strong gusts of wind - or to Club Braco's 9-hole course for close work with water and sand hazards

Day 4: Day 4. Montego Bay

Steps: Montego Bay

Head west to the tourist resort of Montego Bay for a swing session at the prestigious Half Moon Golf Club, host of the Jamaican Open! Designed by Robert Trent Jones and inaugurated in 1961, it has many difficulties - including these bunkers near the greens - inviting to deploy some solid strategies. All this in an exceptional setting

Day 5: Day 5. Montego Bay

Last but not least, by reaching the extreme west of the island, we find the famous Tryall Club and its tropical fairways framed by palm trees and coconut palms, which hosts the Johnnie Walker Championship. The4th hole overlooks the Caribbean Sea, while the 18th East is played near an 18th century sugar mill wheel. Return to Kingston at the end of the day to prepare for your departure, unless you have an extra day to devote to the undulating courses of Negril Hills Golf Club and their spectacular sunsets.
