Day 1: Arrival in Jakarta
Steps: Jakarta
Arrival in Jakarta. Due to traffic problems, it's best to limit your movements. In the evening, head to Ancol at Bandar Djakarta to feast on lobster, crab and fish of all sizes...
Day 2: At the cradle of Javanese culture
Steps: Yogyakarta
Train to Yogyakarta. A day to discover the city, cradle of Javanese culture, with a visit to the palace and a ride down Malioboro Street, Jogja's Champs-Élysées, in Andong, a small horse-drawn carriage.
Day 3: Relaxation and zenitude
Morning relaxation, day trip to Prambanan temple. In the evening, Ramayana show at the temple.
Day 4: Borobodur Temple
Steps: Borobudur, Plateau De Dieng
Visit to Borobodur temple. Continuation of the excursion to the Dieng plateau, and visit to the Arjuna temples and Sikidang volcano.
Day 5: Kasogan pottery
Steps: Kasongan
Depart for Kasogan and its pottery market, then head for Kebonagung, famous for its magnificent rice fields, before relaxing on the beaches of Desa Siluk. Enjoy the sunset over grilled fish.
Day 6: Climbing Mount Merapi
Wake up early and climb Mount Merapi to admire the sunrise. Siesta, afternoon shopping in Yogya, with visits to batik factories.
Day 7: In the village of Naggula
Make your way to the village of Naggulan. This square is known as a major fruit market. Durian, salak, magouste, rambutan and more. An opportunity to stock up one last time. Flight to Jakarta.
Day 8: End of trip
Afternoon departure from Jakarta.
