Stay : A week of sailing in the Zadar archipelago

Just in front of the port of Zadar, there are islands with very different physiognomy, some very long in surface, very visited, others smaller, agricultural, others still uninhabited and arid. A bargain to cast off!

  • Dugi Otok
  • Sali
  • Dugi Otok
  • Murter
  • Kornat
  • Šibenik

Day 1: Arrival in Zadar

Steps: Pašman

Rent a sailboat or catamaran at the Sukošan marina, take the races for the week and get the sails straight! Direction L Island, where a sheltered bay will be easy to find to anchor the first night.

Day 2: Cabotage around Pašman Island

Many empty coves along the coast.

Day 3: Cape Town on Iž Island

Steps: Dugi Otok, Sali

There was not even a crowd in August. Débarquer quietly without disturbing the islanders. Walking tour of the island and return to the boat to join Dugi Otok, the largest island in the archipelago. Anchoring for night at Petit's little port.

Day 4: Učka Bay

Steps: Dugi Otok

Protected by a high cliff, to the south of Dugi Otok island, this natural park is more frequented than the island of Iz. It's a well-known shelter of sailors, a dive spot. The walk off the cliffs to the inner lake is required.

Day 5: In the Kornati Archipelago

Steps: Murter

Be careful, the stay in the national park is highly regulated and not free of charge. To navigate there, you will be required to have a boat licence and an entry fee. Ask Murter for information. Diving and underwater hunting are prohibited here. Checks are frequent.

Day 6: One night of adventure

Steps: Kornat

Find your island to live and sleep! Before continuing to explore Kornati.

Day 7: Arrival at Primošten Port

Steps: Šibenik

Navigation further south. There are many coves. Return by the coast to the Šibenik Canal, where to spend the night (beautiful marina, beautiful city to visit).

Day 8: Return to Sukošan and Zadar

Early departure for a day's arrival, which will facilitate the chores around the boat.
