Day 1: Arriving in paradise...

Arrival in Saint-Denis, transfer to a hotel on the west coast. Free day, sunbathing, beach and relaxation. Aperitif, sunset followed by a Creole meal in a waterfront restaurant at the Hermitage.

Day 2: Sports Day at Réunion

Steps: Saint-Leu

Beach day and sports activities, diving, water skiing, wholesale fishing, paragliding in St. Leu, whale exit (season) or dolphins (all year round), boat trip, boat-bubble... In the evening, dinner on the water side.

Day 3: Swimming and culture

Steps: L'Ermitage Les Bains, Saint-Gilles Les Bains, Saint-Gilles Les Hauts

Car rental and exploration of the West. Departure early in the morning to the viewpoint of the Maïdo. A short swim in the basins of Saint-Gilles. Visit the Villèle Museum, the Garden of Eden or the Aquarium. Stroll on the port of Saint-Gilles in the late afternoon.

Day 4: The temples of the South

Steps: Saint-Pierre, Manapany, Sainte-Rose

Departure for Saint-Pierre with lunch on the marina. Stroll through the streets of the city, visit temples, then drive to the Wild South, on the spice route. Swimming in the Manapany basin. Crossing the Grand Brûlé. Night in Sainte-Rose or in the South.

Day 5: In the Plains of Cafes

Steps: Grand Bassin

Departure early in the morning to Plaine des Cafres, then on the road to the volcano. Photos from the Bellecombe pass for the lazy, descent to Formica Léo for the reasonable, ascent of the volcano for the sportsmen. Overnight in a guest room and meal at a table d'hôtes in the Plains region. Or walk from the Great Basin and spend the night in a cottage at the bottom of the river.

Day 6: Visit of the Belouve forest and the Trou de Fer

Steps: Salazie, Hell Bourg

Nature and hiking day. Visit the Belouve forest and the Trou de Fer, then hike down to the villages of Hell-Bourg or Salazie. Visit of the village and the circus.

Day 7: Welcome to the circus... of Malfate

Steps: Salazie, La Nouvelle, Marla

Departure from Salazie to Mafate via the Col de Fourche. Bus ride to the pass, then walk down and spend the night in the middle of nature, in Marla (2h30 walk) or La Nouvelle (3h walk). Overnight in a mountain cottage.

Day 8: The small village Cilaos

Steps: Cilaos

Departure from Mafate to Cilaos via the Taïbit pass, 3 hours walk. Transfer by bus to the village of Cilaos, visit the village and craftsmen, purchase local products. Night in Cilaos or descent to the coast. The most courageous will attack the Piton des Neiges in the process, and during the night.

Day 9: Hiking or canyoning

Steps: Cilaos

A day at Louis, a small hike (Red Bras, Trois-Sources) or a great feeling as canyoning or climbing. In the evening, copious and roborative guest table type of duck to the lenses to recover from his travels.

Day 10: A water day vives 

Steps: Hell Bourg, Salazie

Head east or Salazie for a day of whitewater rafting. Picnic/swimming by a waterfall or barbecue on the edge of a rampart. Canyoning, rafting or hydrospeed session in the rivers. Day 11: Heading east

Exploration of the Eastern region. Visit of a Tamil temple, vanilla production, sugar factory. Back to the West or the North.

Day 12: Marine cemetery and shopping

Steps: Saint-Paul

Shopping day and outings, preferably a weekend. Guided tours of the marine cemetery, the Saint-Paul waterfront and the fairground market. Shopping also in the markets of Saint-Denis. Visit of the city of Saint-Denis. In the evening, a more festive atmosphere in a cocktail bar or theatre evening, casino or club. Preferably in Saint-Gilles.

Day 13: Last sun

Return from the beaches, for a good tan before the return. Horseback riding on the lagoon, swimming, water sports. An overview of the island in ULM or a helicopter (if you won the casino the night before), not forgetting the camera.

Day 14: End of the journey

Back to the metropolis.
