Day 1: Auckland

Before hitting the road, take advantage of this first day in Auckland to recover slowly from the long trip; visit the beautiful Auckland War Memorial Museum, climb to the top of the Sky Tower to discover the first panorama of the region and then have dinner in the heart of the lively Ponsonby district.
Day 2: Waitomo Caves
Steps: Waitomo
Head south to the Waitomo Caves. On the program: abseiling, caving or a simple boat ride under the glittering vaults of glow worms.

Day 3: Rotorua
Steps: Rotorua
Take the road that crosses the island in the direction of Rotorua. Smell the first odors of sulphur that herald the geothermal phenomena so characteristic of the region. In the evening, dive into the warm waters of the Polynesian Spa and attend a māori show.
Day 4: From Waiotapu to Taupō
In Waiotapu, be surprised by the colors of Champagne Pool and admire the awakening of Lady Knox Geyser. Before entering Taupō, drop by Huka Falls.

Day 5: Full Day Hike - Tongariro Alpine Crossing
Steps: National Park Village, Turangi
Lace up your hiking boots for one of the most beautiful day treks in this country: the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. After 7 to 9 hours of walking through lunar and then lush landscapes, plan to spend the night in the peaceful village of Tūrangi.

Day 6: Canoeing on the Whanganui River

No time to breathe! Head for Whanganui for a day of canoeing on a part of the 330 km Whanganui River.

The tour ends in Wellington, the capital of New Zealand south of the North Island. Don't miss the visit to the famous Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, take a look at the Parliament and the Botanic Gardens, not to mention walking down the very alternative Cuba Street.
