Day 1: First contact in paradise
Steps: Belize City
Arrival in Belize City. Check into your hotel, then stroll through the city's historic districts, discovering its colonial architecture with typical Creole influences. Dinner on the waterfront at Birds Isle Restaurant for a first taste of the Caribbean Sea.
Day 2: Archaeology and authentic village
Steps: Altun Ha, Crooked Tree
In the morning, departure for the archaeological site ofAltun Ha (approx. 1 hour's drive to reach the site), lunch in one of the restaurants surrounding the site, then on to Crooked Tree village for an overnight stay in an authentic village in the heart of a nature reserve much appreciated by nature lovers
Day 3: Mayan site and cruise
Steps: Belize City, Lamanai, San Pedro
Head for Lamanai, a Mayan archaeological site renowned for its splendor, and in the early afternoon return to Belize City to catch the ferry to San Pedro at the end of the day (1.5-hour trip between Belize City and San Pedro). Check-in at your hotel.
Day 4: Marine reserve, diving and lounging
Steps: San Pedro
The first half-day on the islands is devoted to discovering the Ho Chan Marine Reserve on a diving expedition, which usually also includes a stopover at Shark Rak Alley. Return for lunch, to be taken in one of the many restaurants in the central district of San Pedro. In the afternoon, stroll through the few streets of the town, and enjoy a relaxing massage or spa session.

Day 5: Discovery of the mysterious blue hole...
Steps: Lighthouse Reef
Spend the day discovering the Great Blue Hole (4-hour round trip). Return at the end of the day, and enjoy some music and relaxation in one of Ambergris Caye's bars.
THE GREAT BLUE HOLE
Day 6: Farniente on the island of Caye Caulker
Steps: Caye Caulker, San Pedro
Wake up and head for Caye Caulker (45-minute ferry ride from San Pedro ), where you'll discover the island and its beach, promising plenty of idle time. Spend the night on Caye Caulker and enjoy its Caribbean nightlife and reggae soundtrack.
Day 7: The last day
Steps: Belize City
Depending on your flight schedule, departure in the morning or early afternoon by ferry to Belize City, then on to the international airport for your return flight.
