Detail of the stay : Discovery of the paths and ochre mines in Luberon - 3 days
Day 1: The ochres of Roussillon
Steps: Roussillon
Ochre has been exploited since antiquity in the Luberon, but it is the 18th century that marks its apogee. The ochre trail offers an unforgettable walk, for young and old, in an exotic setting, a universe of warm colors; below, the "Ôkhra" Conservatory - the old ochre washing factory. Don't leave without having strolled through the village with its "local color" facades!

Day 2: The mines of Bruoux, a real mineral cathedral
Steps: Gargas
In Gargas, the last active ochre quarry in Europe, but in the open air! There was a time when these abandoned galleries were used as mushroom beds! You will walk through 650 m of underground galleries, vaulted, ogive-shaped or even in full arch up to 15 m high (be relieved, the site counts 40 km of them!). In summer, this exceptional place hosts events.
Day 3: The Provencal Colorado near the village of Rustrel
Steps: Rustrel
This Colorado is the result of erosion, when the sea withdrew, only a clayey sand remained, extremely rich in iron. Set off freely, map in hand, to discover "à la carte" itineraries marked by markers that guide you along. You will walk on paths formed by pickaxes and pass by rocky mounds called fairy chimneys.
