LA MAISON DE LA MILOTTE – MUSEE DU PATRIMOINE

You will find the history of the Sanctuary of Montlys, of the River castle, from the monorail of Panissières. Here you will become familiar with the Patois, old local dialect that only the old ones talk about. A video montage reports authentic images of life in Villechenève in 1948. Managed by the Association of Friends of Heritage, this museum is a showcase of the heritage of Villechenève and the region of the Lyonnais mountains from the th century to the present. It is located at the north entrance of the village in front of the Post Office.

The Maison de Pays is a beautiful 16th and 17th century residence with mullioned windows, French ceilings and a covered gallery, located in the heart of the medieval village of Mornant, at the foot of the Saint-Pierre church. On four levels, you will discover all year long art exhibitions - paintings, sculptures, plastic artists... - and arts and crafts, exhibitions on heritage, regional products and collections of objects from the past by the Friends of Old Mornant.
