The mountain house, which also houses the French Ski School and the Cham'Aventure company, offers a free information point, the Office de Haute Montagne. For climbing enthusiasts or the simply curious, Châtel offers some remarkable routes! Two sites are available for free climbing: the walls of Plaine Dranse, comprising 23 routes of 5 to 10 meters, and the abseils of the L'Essert waterfall, offering a descent on the left bank with 9 abseils of 30 meters. Detailed guides are available from the tourist office. Under the guidance of qualified instructor Jean-Yves Fredriksen, all climbers are supervised and initiated. Initiation from age 8.

A message for sports enthusiasts and the curious in search of a different experience. Here are the features of this adventure: a length of 600 meters, a difference in altitude of 235 meters, a starting point situated at an altitude of 660 meters, with a course lasting 2 to 3 hours and varying in difficulty. Crossing the cables at the top, the view over Thônes is breathtaking. It's advisable to make this ascent in the morning to take advantage of the cooler temperatures.

LA's DJC is many ways to grow, express and make sport: of the circus, of kung-fu and of climbing a wall in verticality. Artificial routes adapted to all ages and at all levels in safety, to take insurance and then leave on the cliffs around. Children, teenagers, adults, everyone is climbing on the 50 routes proposed with numerous timetables.
