Since 2001, Fred and Ghislaine, a couple of passionate mountain guides, have been offering private ski lessons, as well as lessons in climbing, mountaineering, water trekking and even snowshoeing. An extraordinary adventure! Lake Montriond is the^3rd largest lake in Haute-Savoie, after Lake Geneva and Lake Annecy. At an altitude of 1,064 meters, it is 1,320 meters long and 235 meters wide at its widest point and 19 meters deep! Once the ice has formed, you can learn about this activity, surrounded by the best professionals. You can then observe the spectacle of bubbles and water at 2°C. Prices include security on the site, provided by an instructor with a state certificate, supervision, equipment (dry suit, anti-ice regulator...), and insurance.

As part of the Portes du Soleil area, Châtel's connection to the Swiss ski area is fairly easy. The Châtel ski area itself offers 41 lifts opening onto 45 pistes located between 1200 and 2200m. Two snowparks will delight freestyle enthusiasts. The Yooner, a modern, advanced version of the paret, a single-runner wooden sled from Manigod in the Aravis valley, stands out for its lightness, maneuverability and comfort. The Col de Joux Plane, well known to cyclists, is transformed into a Nordic domain once the snow has fallen. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the Giffre valley and the famous Mont-Blanc. For beginners or the most experienced, the domain offers 7 groomed trails, from green to red. A pedestrian and marked itinerary also allows beautiful walks, feet or snowshoes in the powder. The youngest will enjoy their exploits on the sledging track.

This vast area - one of the largest in Haute-Savoie and the best snow-covered - includes sixty kilometers of Nordic trails and two cross-country ski centers. A superb traverse of Alpine landscapes, with traditional chalets and exceptional views of the Aravis, Mont-Blanc, Chablais and Jura massifs. To feel like a musher, adults and children are welcome to visit Ludovic Gloanec, a qualified musher and founder of Traîneaux de l'Ubac. These mountain, nature and animal enthusiasts manage a pack of magnificent Siberian huskies. At the Praz de Lys - Sommand ski resort or on the Agy plateau, you can learn to drive a dog sled, prepare a team and, in two days, hike, dine around campfires and bivouac. In summer, you can try your hand at cani-VTT and cani-kart (or husky buggy), which replace the sled.

On the top floor of the Maison de la Montagne, a meeting place for mountaineers and hikers, or on its website, La Chamoniarde distributes information on the quality and practicability of the routes (hiking, climbing and mountaineering, skiing, hang-gliding...) and provides practical information for organizing your race or your itinerary (huts, ski lifts, regulations) as well as the necessary documentation (books, topographic maps...) Downhill skiing at Praz-de-Lys-Sommand (now known as Espace des Lys) means family vacations in an exceptional natural setting. The ski area offers 55 km of pistes spread over 27 blue runs, 7 green runs, 12 red runs and 6 black runs for the more athletic skiers. A message for sports enthusiasts and the curious in search of a different experience. Here are the features of this adventure: a length of 600 meters, a difference in altitude of 235 meters, a starting point situated at an altitude of 660 meters, with a course lasting 2 to 3 hours and varying in difficulty. Crossing the cables at the top, the view over Thônes is breathtaking. It's advisable to make this ascent in the morning to take advantage of the cooler temperatures.

Jonathan is a sports educator with a specialization in dog driving, Sandrine Muffat is a confirmed athlete, world champion in dog driving, 4 times French champion and winner of the Grande Odyssée mi-distance. In Lapland, they offer driving trips in the heart of the great virgin spaces and under the northern lights. In Praz-sur-Arly, their base camp, they organize summer cani-rando in the mountain trails and in the forest, and a visit of their Husky dog kennel.

The family resort of Bernex boasts a unique panorama of Lake Geneva and the Mont-Blanc massif. It is accessible to skiers of all levels, who can enjoy 22 runs totalling some 30 km of descent. There is a snow line for children under 5 and lifts, including 3 chairlifts, for beginners and experts alike. In addition, two Nordic ski circuits offer a different way of discovering the landscape. Bernex has been awarded the "Station Verte" (Green Resort) label, and offers numerous hiking trails, as well as mountain bike trails in summer.

Departure from the gîte La Fruitière for an excursion of around 1h30 through the mountain pastures, offering spectacular panoramic views towards the Pointe d'Andey and the Leschaux rocks. This 5 km route, relatively flat with a 50 m difference in altitude, is accessible to all and is an ideal opportunity to discover the daily life of the inhabitants of the Solaison plateau. Along the way, a number of restaurants invite you to take an invigorating gourmet break.

Carole Gauthier will take you on a snowshoe hike to her alpine chalet, where you'll enjoy a delicious Savoyard meal together. On the heights of Mieussy, the chalet offers breathtaking views of Pic Marcelly, Mont Blanc and Le Môle. At sunset, it's not unusual for the sky to set ablaze. Once you've warmed up, put on your snowshoes again and set off along a different path, under a starry sky. Don't forget your poles and mountain boots.

The Speed Dragoz is Les Carroz's rail tobogganing track, which offers some great thrills. Departing from the Kédeuze gondola, you can take your sled, alone or in pairs, through the forest to the starting point. Take in the scenery on the way up, and on the way down, everything speeds up! Gliding, bends, hair blowing in the wind, and perhaps the amused cries of your passenger. Laughter guaranteed at the finish! Put on your best smile, and a photo will immortalize this funny and convivial moment. You can also take to the track wearing a virtual reality helmet.

Megève-Raquettes is a travel agency based in Megève. They offer a snowshoe excursion specially designed for families with children. This easy snowshoe outing lets you enjoy nature with your children. A warm drink and snack are provided in a cosy yurt high above Megève. Children aged 6 to 15 are welcome. The outing lasts around 2.5 hours, from 9.45am to 12.15pm. The group is limited to a maximum of 12 people. Meet at 220 route du Planay in Le Planellet. Return to the same place. To get to the starting point, you can use your own vehicle or public transport. The free bus line number 2 runs every 20 minutes from Megève.

The Loisirs Assis Évasion association enables disabled people and their families to enjoy year-round outdoor adventures in the heart of the Mont-Blanc region.
