Riding down the snow-covered slopes on a toboggan is a sensation you'd love to be able to experience in any season. It's possible with summer tobogganing, a real sport and discipline in its own right at Le Jaillet. Judge for yourself with these figures: an average ride of 7 minutes, at a speed of 36 km/h, over 715 m of descent and 95 m of vertical drop. It's not a newcomer, having been launched in 2010, but it's undoubtedly the latest festival to make its mark in a town that also looks to the mountains. With over 40,000 festival-goers at its last edition, the High Five Festival happily mixes skiing, cinema and partying (because a festival without concerts isn't cool). So, head to the lakeside "village" to watch and take part in snow sports demos, before settling into an open-air deckchair to watch one of the snow sports films on the big screen.
