LOWRY'S

Whisky bar

Lowry's is probably the friendliest pub in Clifden, where musicians and customers of all ages mingle happily for evenings of traditional song and dance. Live music every night of the week and all year round! And, to raise the elbow, there is a good selection of beers, gins and whiskeys on the menu. Lowry's has won regular local and national awards. A great and authentic place to go for a night out in Clifden!

THE QUAYS

The decor is not indifferent in this very popular pub in Galway and always crowded with tourists and locals on weekends. Mezzanines, dark wooden staircases are articulated around a central pit and big copper lamps are suspended from the beautiful wooden ceilings... If we love the decor, the atmosphere is not to be outdone, essentially punctuated by the constant movement of drinkers from one place to another. It's a place where you essentially stand with your pint, which inevitably favours friendly encounters.

MONROE’S TAVERN

This is one of Galway's must-visit addresses. Its atmosphere of a large, no-frills inn is immediately appealing. Not too much decoration here, but big tables around a central stage where excellent musicians play, usually accompanied by a New Zealand washboard player! On weekends, when the atmosphere is at its peak, it is not unusual to see people feverishly dancing the jig in front of the stage! A festive stopover not to be missed for an encounter with the authentic Galway, music-loving and cheerful!

The nice terrace of this pub allows you to have a front row seat for the street show, whose animation is at its peak on weekends, with the often exuberant youth of the city of Galway! The interior is nice, divided into small rooms with an old-fashioned atmosphere. The best part is the choice of whiskies: the address offers, in addition to Irish whiskey, the best Scottish single malts. Or maybe it's the programming of the live music sessions, which take place all week long, always very sharp.

SEAN’S BAR

Pub €€

It's not the oldest pub in the city... but in all of Ireland! During renovation works, old walls were found, whose construction goes back to the 9th century, as well as old coins. If all of this is now part of the National Museum's treasures, the place is still a pub, today the most animated in the city. Concerts every night, nice decoration, with photos and trophies of local sports exploits, big covered beer garden... In short, it's the place to have a pint in the evening.

MATT MOLLOY’S

Pub €€

Matt Molloy's is undoubtedly THE pub of Westport, and even the pub of Mayo County. Here, it's pints of (good) beers, traditional music, overheated atmosphere and typical decoration with many pictures on the walls. It must be said that the place belongs to Matt Molloy, one of the members of the famous Irish band The Chieftains. This genius of the Irish flute sometimes even comes on stage with the bands that come to perform. An unmissable pub! Don't miss the doors of this famous red storefront...
