Horseback riding Dordogne

Take a walk to the rhythm of a donkey's footsteps, for a day or more. These companions can carry your luggage and tired legs, up to a week's walk, with a stopover at a campsite or farmhouse. Several types of stay are available. Arcâne also designs your hikes and pre-books accommodation for your departure and return to the ferme du Clédou. Nathalie offers a gîte for 8 to 10 people. She processes and sells biodynamically-produced plants from the farm in the form of cosmetics and herbal teas.

Christelle Magnier, a student of equestrian tourism, takes you to horseback riding, for a simple walk of one to two hours or for a day or longer hike. For younger people, a playful initiation to horseback riding and pony rides is offered.

Stéphane and Georges, who are passionate about equestrian tourism, create four- to six-day tours that include visits to sites, museums, caves, local gastronomy and accommodation in gîtes. The horses are authentic trekking horses, and the saddles are by Gaston Mercier or Forestier, as good as armchairs! Last but not least, Joëlle Fournier welcomes you to her gîte and offers riding lessons and courses.

All the horses on the farm were born on site. Many generations live peacefully for the sake of the riders who enjoy watching the tour. Along the way, she starts the conversation. History, gastronomy, she likes to share love of her country with the love of horses.

The originality of this equestrian centre is to offer night trips from May to October, every day, by appointment (36 € per person). Well-equipped with fluos front and gilets, we discover the forest in any other way with Didier Benne, the magic is total in the streets of the village of Biron, which is dominated by the castle.
