Designed by architect Bo Karlberg, the Gävle Philharmonic Concert Hall is an elegant building surrounded by wild greenery on the edge of a peaceful pond. The interior acoustics are designed for flexible adaptation to symphonic and popular music, which has allowed the venue to host rock bands as well as classical orchestras and Mongolian throat singers. Formerly Unga Magasinet, this place was created by young motivated volunteers! An open stage with guitars at your disposal, role-playing or board game tournaments, coffee, baked goods (at affordable prices because the goal here is not to make a profit), a fully equipped craft workshop and exhibitions. Access is privileged for young people between 16 and 25 years old. The premises also include armchairs in a cosy corner, a cinema screen and a game corner!
