This is the former district of the Emiratis and their rulers. It lies along the mouth of the Creek. This strategic location enabled the sheikhs to control the traffic of ships bringing their cargoes from Persia, India and other lands. Restored in recent years, the area is undergoing a major transformation and has become a great place for family outings. It is home to some twenty museums, all accessible via the Al Shindagha museum.

meilleur endroit pour sortir des sentier battus et des zones à touriste.
Meilleure façon de découvrir le vrai Dubai d'avant.
Quartier agréable avec ses mosquées, marchés et souks mais aussi ses musées.

Aménagé sur les quais à l'embouchure de la Dubaî Creek et à l'extrémité de la zone commerciale touristique, ce quartier ancien fait l'objet d' une rénovation de qualité avec des bâtiments à l'architecture varié et le soir des éclairages appropriés. Un moment de détente assuré dans zone tranquille.
