Discover Abu Dhabi

The Emirate of Abu Dhabi covers an area of 67,340 km² (87% of the country), which is twice the size of Belgium. The emirate is made up of three provinces: Abu Dhabi, covering the capital city, its suburbs and the coast as far as the gates of Dubai. Reasoned development, focused on cultural and entertainment projects, has led to a flourishing of theme parks and museums of international standing. Al Aïn, encompassing the city, its palm groves, the Jebel Hafit peak and acres of surrounding desert. Al Gharbia, covering the south and west of the emirate (towns of Madinat Zayed, Liwa) and the immense desert. The Emirate you are about to explore boasts almost 400 km of maritime showcase, from lagoons to salt pans, from beaches to rocky skiffs. Two or three hours from the capital, you can reach the oases, admire the many 19th-century forts or head off into the heart of the ochre desert for an exhilarating camel ride.
