A good address, located along the main street of the small town. This boarding house was a pioneer of its kind, having opened in 1990. It offers about ten modern double rooms, quite comfortable and simply furnished. There is also a parking lot and a small courtyard with a barbecue. The pension does not offer, for the time being, a catering service or breakfast. But it was undergoing renovation during our research, and will soon extend its range of services.

Right in the center of town, this large, beautiful white building boasts neoclassical architecture typical of the late 19th^century . It houses a 4-star hotel of fairly good standing, although some renovation and improvement could be made. Rooms are large, clean and elegant. (Good) breakfast can be served in your room. The hotel also features a spa, with a glass-roofed swimming pool, sauna and whirlpool. There's also a beauty salon, café, restaurant and underground parking.

Located right in the heart of the old town, one of the major assets of this guesthouse is that it offers 6 double rooms with independent entrances, each equipped with a kitchenette (with kettle, electric hob and fridge). Everything is very clean, spacious and modern in these accommodations, which open onto a pleasant little landscaped courtyard. As you leave the guesthouse, on your left, you'll find Ouă și unt, a very nice little café serving one of the best brunches in town. Finally, and this is rare enough to be highlighted, the pension accepts pets.

This hotel has the disadvantage of being rather out of the way: on the side of a busy road, it's just over 1 km from the station and 2 km from the town center. Fortunately, there's a bus stop nearby. Its main advantage is that it offers modern, comfortable rooms at reduced prices. The large, stylish house has around twenty rooms, all decorated in black and white, with a few touches of color. There's also a bar-restaurant serving local and international specialties.

This guesthouse offers two major advantages: its price and its location, since it's just a hundred meters from the stairs that will take you directly to the citadel. As for the rooms, about ten in all, they are quite small, but very clean and comfortable. There's also a communal kitchen and a pleasant garden to enjoy on sunny days. You can also rent bicycles (at an additional cost) and park your car free of charge. Ideal for those on a tight budget.

This is the pension we recommend if you want to stay in the village. It comprises eight double to quadruple duplex rooms, with a living area and a bedroom. Decorated simply and soberly, each room has its own bathroom and balcony. The guesthouse also boasts a gym, table tennis and a small private lake, where you can fish or take a punt in a rowboat, unless you prefer to relax on its shores or on the terrace on the central islet. A pleasant place to be.

This chalet, built in 1883, is perched at an altitude of 1,604 meters, in the heart of the ski slopes. It is reached by cable car. Offering superb unobstructed views of the mountains, it can accommodate around a hundred people in dormitories with 3 to 6 beds or in double rooms, with or without private bathroom. The interiors are rustic, comfortable and stylish. The restaurant is particularly charming and warm, with its wood panelling, painted in places, its old stove and so on. It serves traditional dishes with generous portions, at low prices.

This large, modern guesthouse on the outskirts of town offers around 15 rooms and a few apartments at reasonable prices. Clean and comfortable, the rooms are furnished in both modern and retro styles. There's also a restaurant, where you can dine on local specialties or international dishes. There's also a pretty little summer garden at the back, with a few terraces where you can sit in the shade. A good option if you need to stop off in the area.

Ideally located at the foot of the citadel, in a quiet residential street close to the center, this is one of the city's best budget addresses. The welcome is warm and friendly, and the rooms are decorated with old-fashioned charm. The neo-Romanesque house is surrounded by a beautiful garden, carefully planted with flowers and featuring several terraces and pergolas. Note that this accommodation is equipped with solar panels, which is quite rare in Romania.

In this vacation village in the middle of the forest, you'll find a variety of accommodation options: beds in 12-person dormitories, wooden cottages with two- or three-bed rooms, double rooms and apartments for 4 or 5 people in a renovated motel, and even a villa for twelve. You can even pitch your tent on the estate. In summer, the site is often occupied by vacation camps for children and senior citizens.

Set in a cubic Art Deco building overlooking the main square, this hotel offers 24 functional, simple and pleasant rooms. It also features a Scandinavian-style restaurant with an extensive menu, offering mainly simple dishes from traditional Romanian cuisine, but also pasta and salads. Finally, the hotel's great asset is its wellness center, including an indoor swimming pool, whirlpools, saunas, gym, massage and treatment rooms... A good address.

Just 300 m from the O-Saros spa, this guesthouse is like a little house in the meadow. It comprises 4 bedrooms (9 beds in total), a 2-bedroom gîte and a well-equipped shared kitchen. The small wooden balconies offer exceptional mountain views. The friendly hosts will be happy to advise you on local tourist activities. The comfort is simple but sufficient, and the prices are very reasonable: a good address for both winter and summer.

This large chalet offers good comfort at reasonable prices. You will find double rooms (triples if necessary) and apartments that can accommodate 4 people. These include a living room, a dining room and even a whirlpool bath! Sometimes panelled, sometimes carpeted, the rooms are tastefully decorated with traditional carpets and blankets. For an extra charge, you can enjoy a sauna and whirlpool bath. Massages are also possible. There is a Romanian restaurant and a bar.

Best address in town. In the central square, this pension occupies a beautiful historical building, one of the oldest in the city. Past the porch, you enter a quiet inner courtyard, covered with vines. The rooms are served by passageways, which give onto this green island. They are quite simple, but modern and impeccable. There is also an elegant suite for 4 people. Hungarians love solariums, so you can enjoy this service. There is a cosy restaurant with hearty dishes open from May to September.

This large new building is located about 2 km northwest of the town center, in a quiet area. The hotel offers around twenty single, double and triple rooms. They are tastefully decorated in a variety of styles: sometimes resolutely modern, sometimes tinged with retro touches, with old-fashioned tapestries... One of the rooms, a little more expensive of course, even has a large whirlpool bath. There's also a restaurant on site, serving traditional Romanian and international dishes.

Situated on the central square, this vast low building offers around 30 rather comfortable rooms, including 8 apartments. The decoration is more or less tasteful, in slightly old-fashioned colours, but there is a fitness room, a sauna and a restaurant. The establishment offers several excursions: by sleigh, snowmobile, bicycle, quad or Jeep. It also organizes days in the countryside, in a farm, where you will prepare a good goulash to be enjoyed around a campfire.

The paved inner courtyard is mainly dedicated to parking, but also features a lawn area planted with trees, as well as a small terrace and barbecue available to guests.

A very recent hostel, in the city centre, a stone's throw from the main square, but set back from the lively Strada Republicii. The place is laid out in a successful industrial and vintage style, a mix of wood and metal. The 5 dormitories have a total of 42 beds, all equipped with a privacy curtain. Each guest also has a locked locker. There is no kitchen, but the reception offers a small bar service and a terrace has been set up in the inner courtyard. Organized day trips and hikes (Bran, Peleș, Craiului Park, etc.).
