La Trinquette, well known to music lovers for its atypical and friendly atmosphere,

is celebrating its fifteenth anniversary and is getting a new look. To mark this turning point in its history, the club has chosen to focus on world music and jazz. One of the rare jazz clubs in the region offering real moments of communion to its audience by proposing a lively acoustic music. An opportunity to get up close and personal with artists during exclusive jazz evenings every Friday and Saturday! Thursday and Sunday are dedicated to other forms of music.

Located in the old town, the Nice Opera House can accommodate about 1,100 spectators in its Italian-style décor adorned in gold and red. It has a philharmonic orchestra, a dance company and a professional choir. The artistic season offers a lyrical, symphonic and choreographic program mainly oriented towards discovery. The works pay tribute to the classical repertoire but also to contemporary creations, concerts for children, rap concerts and shows by young choreographers and creators.

The TNN houses two Italian rooms: Michel Simon Room (320 seats) and Pierre Brasseur Hall (1,000 seats) as well as an amphitheater with 300 seats and a rehearsal room. The first drama center in France since 2005, it welcomes all forms of theater performances, including many creations. The regional companies and the major Parisian posters fill a program rich in high-quality shows with high-quality actors. The evenings of representation, the restaurant upstairs offers a chic snacking break from 6 p. m. and a gourmet map to savor after the show in a refined setting. As the name suggests, laughter is the watchword at this beautiful purple-hued venue, which seats up to 240 people. The opening acts are regularly café-théâtre and one-man/woman shows. Unlike the smaller theaters in Vieux Nice, the hall is spacious and offers three different categories. This theater often hosts well-known artists and revisits famous plays. Inaugurated in April 2001, this huge showroom with state-of-the-art equipment was designed to produce year-round performances ranging from classical concerts to variety and sports disciplines. It can seat 6,000 people, and close to 9,000 people standing and sitting in an indoor setting. Thanks to the reversible scene, the overflowing curtains and the sliding doors opening onto the Charles Ehrmann stadium, the outdoor configuration allows 52,000 people standing for organizing outdoor concerts. Nikaia also has an annex room for cultural creations and smaller events.

The Cinéma Variétés is located not far from the very centre of Nice, and it is easily recognizable by the two large palm trees that stand in front of its entrance. The programming is not very original, there are not many auteur films here, but rather classical productions (which does not hurt), even if there is still a certain majority of French films on the bill. And for foreign films, they are offered in their original version, which is a significant advantage. But its strong point is its price, which is much more reasonable than the large chains nearby. In short, it is an attractive little cinema.

A true niçese institution placed on Garibaldi Square, this heritage cinema dedicated to author films is one of the oldest in the City. Its rooms broadcast more than twenty films a week, from the recent outflows to research works, to the great classics. Original versions, first vision films and extended programming for some feature films that are not long on display are also part of the mission of this place, which has been bringing together the cinema for more than 40 years.
