For those who have had enough of overcrowded ski resorts: come and enjoy the pleasures of the snow in a setting devoid of any human presence. The Sauze area has 5 marked but ungroomed hiking trails in a preserved environment. Among them, some are even decorated with games of tracks to add a playful dimension to this activity already full of assets. If you are a beginner, we particularly recommend the "La Rente-Le Super Sauze-La Rente" circuit. Finally, you can be accompanied by a professional guide.

Situated between 1400 and 1600 metres of altitude, the northern area of Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye enjoys an exceptional location between iscles and larch forests. In all, 25 kilometres of cross-country ski runs and 5 km of snowshoe trails; what you spend and make progress at your pace, taking advantage of the performance of Lady Nature in his great white coat… Even if you are not a seasoned sportsman, you will see that the training will never have been so pleasant!

If snow were to stop the race on foot in winter, then something else will have to be found! The northern area of Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye, with its 8 kilometres of dammée track, allows you to start the trail and walk on snow. Rest assured, if these terms can impress, you can make progress at your own pace and according to your level! You are between 1400 and 1600 metres of altitude, in the beautiful course of this wild, preserved and snowy nature: Your usual jogging will suddenly seem far away!

For several years now, this literary guide has been taking you, book in hand, in the footsteps and words of the writer. The hike takes on a suddenly poetic dimension: the words sublimate the landscape, unless it is the other way around...

The town of Peyruis and its surrounding area are extremely suitable for bicycle rides. let us go back to the saddle! This circuit begins with the entrance of the camping Les Cicadas, and develops in the first part in the heart of an agricultural plain where fruit trees reign. Then it penstock the A 51 motorway over a few kilometres. The return to the village can be carried out through the various routes leading to your right: rallongez it or shortchange it as you wish.

Between good friends or with your toddlers, this easy ride by bike invites you to discover the corners of the Durance valley. At the beginning of the ruins of the Marquis de Piosin castle, at the top of the village of Peyruis, it then alternate between trails, trails, grimpettes and dishes. With pedal shots, it will take you successively near the Jas jas, remnant of a past peasant tradition, and then to the Pierre Planted. And there, a few pretty points of view are your journey and can be used for short breaks.

Walk between two waters, or rather between two lands: you are here between the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and the Alpes-Maritimes. Moreover, it is in Saint-Auban, in this second department, that you will have to rise in the saddle. Are you ready? If this loop does not have a major problem, however, a mountain BIKE will be rigorous to survey the 6 kilometres that await you. First, you will be progresserez in a green oak forest on a winding and sometimes battered path. Then, as a second part, you will tour the aerodrome through a bois bypass. At the beginning of St. Roch's Square in Peyruis, this bike ride presents absolutely no difficulty. It is therefore particularly recommended for families and cyclistes. In the programme: 4,3 km, or about minutes, unless you prefer to stop here or there, to enjoy the surrounding calm. St. Roch Chapel, the Manosque Canal and the Lit bed (small rivers) will delight your short journey. You will then return to a good port by doing half-turn, simply!

Rome to the east, Spain to the west, the Alps of Haute-Provence have been seeing pilgrims for centuries on the way to Santiago de Compostela. From Peipin to Aubignosc, from Peyruis to Ganagobie, the various sections of this mythical journey offer beautiful possibilities for walking through the departmental heritage. We offer you a selection of circuits from 1,5 to 9 kilometres, accessible to all for a family outing!

AVN04 is a dynamic association that offers you all kinds of nautical activities, from a schooner ride at sunset to crossing the lake to go to the Bauduen market, private lessons, training courses or baptisms to discover sailing. You can also rent a windsurfing board, a paddle and a maxi paddle, a kayak or a group boat. Perfect to enjoy the lake at the rhythm of sailing.

A beautiful hike, of easy level, combining forest loop and ridges with distant views. Beyond the nature and discovery of the mountain of Mélan, one of the highlights of the walk will be the visit of Saint Vincent Cave, former hiding during Resistance (predicting a front lamp for the cave visit).

During the weekend "Hiking of the 3 valleys" organised by the Tourism Office of Digne-les-bains on the weekend of September 30 th and October 1 ^st 2017, the Lame Blade is a very nice walk which allows to discover the strange geology of the Géoparc de Haute-Provence and the small village of Tanaron where there is an astronomical observation site. Magnificent views along the course.

Activity providers have put in place appropriate sanitary measures to ensure your safety. Hiking and trail biking are very popular in the region, as are mountain biking and bicycle touring. Climbing, canyoning and via ferrata enthusiasts can also indulge their passion. For those who prefer aquatic activities, there are a variety of water sports available. Thrill-seekers can go paragliding. Equestrian activities are also available. And for golf enthusiasts, there's a course in the region. Digne-les-Bains offers a wide range of possibilities for enjoying nature and outdoor sporting activities.

Another beautiful mountain observatory, located at 1 600 m of altitude. It is easily accessible by car (when there is no snow), to park at the station. The observatory is located on the hill just above, about a hundred meters on foot. Public observing evenings are usually scheduled two nights a month, often during the first quarter moon. In summer, these evenings can be more numerous and preceded by conferences.

Saint-Pons offers a variety of sports and leisure activities for visitors. Among the town's activity providers, Apache Rafting specializes in rafting. They offer different types of rafting trips, from family rafting to sport rafting. In addition to rafting, other activities available in Saint-Pons include gliding, paragliding, go-karting, accrobranche, mini-golf and paintball. There's also an equestrian center where visitors can enjoy horseback riding. For those who prefer more leisurely activities, there are GPS treasure hunts and electric scooter rides.

The Ferrata is located in a very impressive wall 130 m high, and is not surprised by its very athletic side. You will start by crossing a tile that will use your arms to a game where you can rest a little. The second part is more sporty and discourages amateurs. Total difference of 600 m. 3 routes are possible: The Bear Discovery Itinerary (3 to 4 hours); The Coq du Coq route Sports and Air route (3 to 4 hours); The August Tower Very aerial and Athletic Route (5 to 6 hours). Overlooking the village of Les Mées in a spectacular way, the Penitents are a natural and geological curiosity that one comes to admire from afar. These rounded and elongated rocks of imposing size were formed by the erosion of a natural material called pudding. A well-marked path will allow you to go for a walk, sometimes steep, to discover this massif which has witnessed the formation of the Alps. The fauna and flora are very rich. Wonderment guaranteed.

The lake of Castillon is 8 kilometers long and covers 500 hectares, set between the mountains. Under a blue sky (most of the time) the setting is splendid. A great number of nautical activities are practiced such as kayak, catamaran, water skiing, towed buoy... Night trips are also organized in canoe for the adventurous. Irresistible, with turquoise water, some beaches are equipped and supervised for the pleasure of young and old. Don't hesitate to explore the wild shores and to stop in some of the exotic creeks.

Are you a thrill seeker? Here is a kind of small paradise for nature lovers and more particularly for white water sports enthusiasts. The base located directly on the Ubaye river (direct departure for 30 rapids) guarantees you fresh sensations. Its team of mountain professionals invites you to practice aquarando, canyoning, via ferrata and an incredible number of other particularly fun outdoor sports such as hydrospeed or hot-dogging. What a great way to spend an unforgettable moment!

The Haute Ubaye offers particularly favourable sites to satisfy experienced climbers as well as hikers or anglers. Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye, well situated, is a convenient starting point for these sports and nature activities. Hikers can take the GR56, which joins the GR5 in Fouillouse, another typical commune of Haute Ubaye. This site can also be reached by car, from the extraordinary Châtelet bridge, with its single arch between the sides of the mountain.

Fouillouse is a very popular starting point for mountaineers, as it serves the Maurin valley towards the sources of the Ubaye, the Brec de Chambeyron - 3,389 m -, the Pointe d'Aval - 3,320 m - or the tête de la Courbe - 3,088 m -, via the Col de Mirandol. From the Châtelet bridge, the climb continues to the hamlet of Maljasset (which can be reached by the GR6) and which marks, for all mountaineers, the starting point of many other mountain routes.

The simple hikers are also spoiled: many lakes (lake of Marinet), beautiful points of view, all the wild magic of Ubaye are here sumptuously offered.

Many establishments are present in the area to advise you if the need arises. Bivouac lovers will not be left out either, because in Ubaye, it is possible to pitch your tent wherever you want (for the night), as long as you respect this beautiful natural heritage.

To get started and perfect for ice driving in winter or to drive kart and quad, here is the rendezvous of all lovers of fine mechanics. Do not miss the winter round on January 14 and 15 to slip into older sports cars.

L'Ubaye Parapente is the driving force behind the development of paragliding in the valley. The school, which holds the Ecole française de Vol libre label and is approved by the French Ministry of Youth and Sports, was founded in 1986 by Matthieu de Quillacq, who has over 30 years' experience to his credit. In complete safety, accompanied by experienced and passionate professional instructors, take to the skies to admire the world from above. The helicopter + paragliding experience offers a personalized appointment, a package unique in the world, for even more memories of Ubaye.

As far as cross-country skiing is concerned, the Val d'Allos has a very popular Nordic area with 12 km of groomed and marked trails divided into two routes located at the foot of the village and the resort. Skiers must pay the compulsory fees at the Val d'Allos 1 400 - Allos ski lift ticket office, near the cross-country ski "info point". Walking and snowshoeing are forbidden on these trails, but marked routes reserved for walking and snowshoeing are available free of charge.

Fishing is a very popular activity in the region, as the amateur can exercise his passion in lively waters and/or in altitude lake. In the Verdon and its tributaries, fishing is practised in the middle of the rocks, in a very tormented universe without this disturbing the big trout living there. The lakes of elevation are of unimaginable richness, fishing mainly for farios trout, and other varieties of fish such as brook salmon, roach or Arctic char, a very fine, rare and difficult fish to catch.

For the less experienced, 1 km from the village in Colomars, the trout tease into a private lake, fed with spring water. On-site, a picnic area will allow you to toast your fishing directly from the day. Equipment provided: information (tel) 06 50 29 79 00.

The ESF at Le Seignus has existed since 1973 and has the "Famille Plus Montagne" label. Its team of 18 permanent instructors increases to 45 during the vacations to satisfy the growing demand and to participate in the development of the resort. The group or individual lessons are well adapted to the level of practice of the students and according to the vacation periods. The ESF also offers off-piste skiing and a Nordic ski school for children aged 8 and up. For people with reduced mobility, the ESF offers sessions sitting on a ski chair, guided by an instructor.

Madeline's equestrian center, a certified riding instructor, offers year-round horseback riding lessons for beginners or experienced riders, from two years old in baby pony. Madeline also offers "pony discoveries" where you go alone with your horse in the riding center, rides, discovery of the village in a carriage, carriage driving lessons, work on foot. Located along the Verdon river at the entrance of the village of Allos on 2 ha in a natural setting, you can enjoy a pleasant moment with your family or friends.

This is a real tennis training center with accommodation. For the past ten years, players have been arriving from all over the world to take part in tennis training courses supervised by state-certified instructors. Adults, teenagers, seniors and children aged 4 to 7 can all benefit from lessons adapted to their level of play. Our instructors are on hand to help you improve your game.

Val d'Allophones 1 800-La Foux has a certified shooting centre for Youth and Sports. Under the guidance of Raphaël Guiny, a state-run instructor, everyone can try to become Robin Hood, the time of a traineeship or for a few hours of training.

With Seol'âne you will discover the pleasure of walking with our friends the donkeys. For half a day, or more depending on the activity chosen, they will be your faithful companions for walking, napping and daydreaming. Emilie proposes various original formulas between which you will be able to choose: night in a tent, in a hut, personalized "ane-imations", asine mediation, meeting with public carrying handicap... The donkeys are on every trip and carry the luggage! In project for the next walks: discovery of the hamlet of Chasse in Villars-Colmar.
