Frédéric's store always attracts so many gourmands! By bike, by bus, by car, by boat... there is always a way to get to this store. Tonton Maboule has two windows to avoid too much waiting. We like the smiling team and we get lost in the choice of the perfumes because there are nearly 100 different ones during the season. Enough to lose your mind! Smart, not only Frédéric announced the opening of the store but he also keeps the same prices. A news that should not leave the ice cream lovers!

This is one of La Rochelle's timeless addresses. For over 20 years, this ice cream parlour has been delighting gourmets. As soon as the sun comes out, the queue gets longer, and you have to be patient before you can choose one of the 70 flavors on display. To each his own! Those with a sweet tooth won't leave without devouring an ice cream (tiramisu, speculoos, vanilla), while those looking to cool down will opt for sorbets (lychee, organic passion fruit, organic pear). Ernest has another store on the other side of the port for ice cream lovers, chests and cones!

CHEZ GASPARD

Glacier

For the past 10 years, Guillaume has been delighting the people of La Rochelle with his authentic Liège waffles. Don't go looking for them anywhere else - he's the only one who makes them, and once you try them, you'll be hooked! The store is conveniently located in the alleyway linking the Old Port to the town center, and attracts many gourmands with its slates displaying all the nibbles you can eat, as well as its new, very pleasant terrace. The main reason to come here is to order the genuine Liège waffle, with its inimitable taste and no artificial additives other than sugar. But if you like, you can add homemade chocolate, speculoos, milk jam and, of course, whipped cream. The crêpes are just as delicious, and can be eaten plain with sugar or with salidou, jam, chestnut cream... You can sit down in the bright, airy dining room, on the terrace or on the nearby old port. Once you've swallowed your snack, you'll no doubt be thirsty, and for that you don't need to go far - just order one of the delicious smoothies made with fresh fruit in front of you. For lunch, opt for a sandwich, with or without a drink, and enjoy it on Cours des Dames, in the shade or near the sunny towers.
