The Salt Route offers a range of canoe trips in the maze of the ancient salt marshes of the Bay of Bourgneuf. Sail on the Boulogne with friends or family, for an hour or a day, on one of these types of boats: boat, canoe or kayak. The boats can accommodate up to 5 people, for 2-hour trips; the canoes are for 3. For the youngest, there are water expeditions on part of the route. The youngest will leave in canoe-drakkar on the tracks of Vilma and Grim to find the runes allowing to open the chest of the Viking Sacred Stones. Challenges, observation, emotion.

50 m below the Abbey car park (access via the Abbey reception desk without going through the ticket office), this boat landing stage welcomes you for a stroll in the shade of weeping willows, ash trees and poplars. This rental company is located just before arriving at Les Salines, and besides, a combined ticket of the two sites is proposed including the visit of the Salt Adventure Park and a 1h canoe ride on the Olonne marsh. The pier "La grenouille Bleue" welcomes you for a boat trip (with or without a guide), canoeing or pedal boat in the conches, canals and gullies starting from the port of Damvix. Take a break on the shaded terrace at the water's edge and have a snack on the spot.

At the foot of La Maison du Marais and the guinguette Le Débar'c, take a seat in one of the boats on the so-called dry part of the Marais Poitevin. Take the time to observe the characteristic fauna and flora of the marsh. On the way, you will learn to recognize the iris and the pyramidal orchid, and you will see swans, storks, herons and coypu... You will learn more thanks to the information panels set up on this new 3 kilometers long route.

From Givrand, canoe, kayak, paddle or pedal boat rides. Navigation is on the Jaunay river, a calm river, accessible to all. You will admire the Vendée landscapes in a Natura 2000 protected area. After crossing the marshes and the forest, you will follow the dunes and arrive at the heart of the seaside resort.
