Following the explosion of an ammunition depot in 2012, which completely destroyed this working-class neighborhood, Brazza Mall is part of a program to develop and modernize the Mpila district, as are the many modern housing units currently under construction. With the first block due to open in late 2023, it now welcomes customers in a number of international boutiques and concept stores. In the long term, the Brazza Mall aims to become the benchmark for shopping in Central Africa, with a supermarket, numerous boutiques and entertainment venues.

After Côte d'Ivoire and Cameroon, Fnac continues to expand in Africa, this time in Congo. In July 2017, it opened a 450 m² store in the Grand-Fleuve shopping center. The store offers the brand's classic services: books, computers, TVs, DVDs, cameras, connected objects, Hi-fi... It's also worth taking a look at the book section, with its fine selection of Congolese novels, and the music section, with its many CDs featuring rumba music.

You can then have the garment of your choice tailored from the loincloth for a small fee. A number of local craft stands are also worth a look.
