PÂTISSERIE KUYT
Read moreIn a modern and bright setting, Kuyt is an exceptional address with an exemplary reputation. This shop was elected pastry shop of the year in 2006 and its apple pie is regularly at the top of the local and national rankings. The hardest part will be to make a choice, as there are so many temptations, the macaroons and the cheesecakeare really unforgettable. Even worse, in addition to the demonic pastries, the address offers a chocolate to fall. It's impossible to resist the temptation. In summer, Kuyt titillates our taste buds even more with its homemade ice cream.
MONTE PELMO
Read moreOur favorite ice cream parlour in the capital, located in the heart of the Jordaan district. On summer days, it's easy to follow the hordes of children (and parents) who are irresistibly drawn to this historic address, which has been in existence since the 1950s. The ice creams are, of course, homemade (around 20 different flavors), and kids love the Smurf ice cream (no doubt about the color, but the name is Smurf in Dutch), plus they can choose smaller cones and get chocolate vermicelli on top!

HOLTKAMP
Read moreAnother city classic, this address has long delighted generations of Amstellodammers with its excellent pastries! People flock to the tiny, charming store to order pastries, chocolates and cookies. The service is very professional. The sweet classic is the cheesecake topped with strawberry jam, and the classic, shall we say, savory legend is the shrimp croquette. We also love their delicious homemade ice creams. You can also buy their famous chocolates in the shape of Amsterdam houses.
WALDO
Read moreAn address not to be missed if you're in search of delicious sweets. Waldo has the means to make you succumb, offering a variety of brownies, blondies (white chocolate), cheesecakes and tarts, each more succulent than the last and presented in an original way. Innovative Waldo is always on the cutting edge and constantly researching. Note that the pastries are sold in small wooden containers to limit waste, and the receipt is sent by e-mail. An address that really has it all!
GEBROEDERS NIEMEIJER
Read moreIt's not the most attractive part of town, just across from the train station, with tacky signs somewhere between fake souvenirs and sexyland. Founded by two Dutch brothers, Marco and Issa (the latter of whom worked at the Gosselin patisserie in Paris), Issa offers top-quality French-style bread and pastries to take away or eat in. For several years now, Issa has pursued his career without his brother. The products are succulent and artisanal, and the interior, with its interesting Art Deco ceiling, is vast.
VAN STAPELE
Read moreAn address that the locals love to hate, so much so that its success has led to the neighborhood being overrun by tourists... Van Stapele specializes in a recipe mastered to perfection: the chocolate chip cookie. Manager Vera van Stapele has found the golden formula, and her concept has been a resounding success for several years. The cookies aren't cheap, but they're so good, we're tempted! Beware, the cookies are regularly sold out by 4pm, often earlier. There's always a little surprise for the kids.
LUNCHCAFÉ JUULS
Read moreJuuls is a very nice lunch café in the center of Gouda. This establishment is ideally located on the famous Markt square where the cheese ceremony takes place, a popular event for tourists and locals alike who have become accustomed to it. The decor is pleasant and you will feel comfortable here while enjoying a sandwich with a choice of wholemeal and cereal breads. This address employs people who are far from the working world and it is an initiative to support in the most beautiful way. If you visit Gouda, make a stop at Juuls.
VLAAMSCHE BROODHUYS
Read moreThis bakery, with its modern design and clean lines, sells excellent bread in Amsterdam. In addition to Poilâne-style creations and baguettes with a distinctly French flavor, Vlaamsche Broodhuys sells sandwiches, fresh fruit juices, as well as artisanal cheeses, yogurts, tapenades, quiches and jams made from organic produce, to take away or enjoy on the premises. The pastries are also worth a visit! A great address with several branches in the city, worth discovering.
POMPADOUR
Read moreAn address we love for many reasons. The name announces the color of this beautiful patisserie in the heart of the 9 petites rues district. Two key words here: refinement and savoir-vivre (good living!). The people of Amstellodam make no mistake, and flock to this classic setting to buy their cakes. Don't miss their homemade caramels and macaroons, with a fondant reminiscent of those from our capital... Our preference is for the tart lemon tart, but we love their Easter creations!

POLABERRY
Read morePolaberry is Polina's pretty baby, offering beautifully decorated chocolate-covered strawberries and berries in a frame made for Instagram. These sweets are so pretty you'd almost hesitate to eat them! Polaberry is a typically cute and kawai shop. Just look at the hordes of visitors who are fans of Polina, who jostle and reproduce her poses with her chocolate bars in front of the channels to collect likes and followers. Note the superb plant wall at the back and the exotic armchair.
ARNOLD CORNELIS
Read moreAn excellent patisserie with sweet and savory cakes and delicacies to enjoy on the terrace for tea time. Chocolates to take away too. This address is a very Dutch concoction, with a fairly classic decor featuring stained glass windows and traditional details, and lots of wood throughout. The tarts are works of art in their own right, and at Saint-Nicolas time, from mid-November onwards, the colorful chocolates are as much a feast for the eyes as for the taste buds. A fine address also to be found in Jordaan on Rozengracht.
BAKKERIJ WOLF
Read moreWolf is a double address in the 9 straatjes district, the bakery-pastry shop and the café-restaurant. We visited the bakery and tasted its excellent products. The sandwiches are generous and filling. The vegetarian beet and cheese sandwich is a real delight. The cheese croissant is also excellent. The cakes are also excellent. The bread is firm and heavy, but very soft. The uncluttered decor is the work of Anne Claus Interiors. We love the atmosphere and the view of the ovens. Don't miss the adjoining café.
PUCCINI BOMBONI
Read moreWhen Ans van Soelen and his daughter Sabine opened their first store in 1987, their aim was to make every "bonbon" (Dutch for "chocolate") a unique experience. And they succeeded! Since then, this highly sought-after address has offered ultra-sophisticated chocolates presented like jewels and crafted by a 100% female team. The scent of cookies and muffins is so strong that you can't resist entering... The choice is immense and you'll find chocolates to suit every taste. A dangerous address for chocolate addicts...
CHOCOLATERIE DE LELIE
Read moreGourmets won't be able to resist this establishment's succulent chocolates. Not only can you buy them to take away, you can also make your own. Dark, white, milk, almond, praline and more. There's something for every taste! You'll soon become a chocolate addict... We recommend you visit this address during Easter or St. Nicholas' Day. You won't believe your eyes or your taste buds. Beware: this is a dangerous address for your waistline. A must for Delft gourmets.
