Here we work as a family! This restaurant is one of the great tables of the region. Lizelle, Elsabe's daughter and chef decorated many times for her fine Sudafs preparations, is at the stove while Rudolf, her husband, unfolds the menu with an enthusiasm that does not seem to diminish over the years. The gastro address of the Route des jardins, which has 4 rooms of great comfort opening onto a large terrace overlooking the lagoon. For breakfast, the pancakes of the hostess, Elsabe, are worth the effort alone!

Located between the Bartolomé Dias Museum and the Postal Tree. A pleasant setting and a cuisine without fuss! There is a little bit of everything: sushi, pizzas (test the one with 3 fish!), grilled fish....

Situated on the waterfront, this restaurant enjoys a solid reputation thanks to its daily deliveries of seafood and fresh fish. Oysters, Mozambican prawns, kingklip, lobsters... The menu offers an impressive choice of seafood products, but also Mexican dishes, pizzas, soups... The dishes are very hearty and you can enjoy them on the wooden terrace on stilts, waterfront style. Often crowded, the place is quite touristy, but is well worth the detour.

The Nguni Restaurant, a listed building, is located in the centre of Plettenberg. The menu is typically South African with a creative twist. Tuna carpaccio, ostrich steak, shrimp marinated in garlic and grilled a la plancha, peri-peri chicken, or vegetarian dishes such as roasted cauliflower steak or falafel bowls. The chefs are passionate about cooking and go out of their way to use fresh, local and seasonal ingredients whenever possible. A great address in Plett.

Here you can enjoy simple, no-frills cuisine prepared with quality local products. Fresh salads, tapas, poke bowls, gourmet burgers and wood-fired pizzas, the menu gives free rein to the most diverse desires. Special mention for the chicken burger, with its excellent Japanese-style marinated chicken. On the terrace or in the patio, the setting is pleasant but the seats are quickly taken, especially during the regularly organized concerts. Very nice cocktail menu. Attentive and careful service.

At the tip of Knysna, at the level of The Head of course, this restaurant has a nice view on the ocean and the lagoon at the entrance of Knysna, either from the inside room with its chic decoration on the marine theme or from the terrace with its big white wooden tables, its umbrellas if the sun is too strong and its plaids if the wind is too cool! The dishes are well cooked, we find fish and chips, mussels, salads... Note that a nice walk is possible from the parking below the establishment.

In the centre of George, La Capannina can't be missed under its wide green roof. Here you will find Italian-inspired cuisine, but also some regional specialties. In this restaurant, the dishes are absolutely delicious and the service is attentive. Everything is done to make the customer feel at home.

Superbly located on the seafront with a beautiful terrace overlooking the Knysna lagoon, Sirocco offers some great seafood dishes served in a trendy, modern setting. Shrimps marinated in garlic, fresh oysters with shallot sauce, colorful sushi platters fresh from the catch of the day, or seafood pizzas. The Sirocco restaurant is a popular spot at sunset for its delicious cocktails, making it the ideal place to enjoy a romantic aperitif by the water.

At the entrance to Plettenberg Bay, near the Goose Valley Golf Course, Emily's Moon is set in an enchanting and exotic setting, with a lovely pool deck overlooking a beautiful little river and wetlands with the mountains in the background. This restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Plettenberg. The cuisine is refined, with tender meats and fresh fish on the menu, as well as a good wine list to satisfy gourmets and lovers of fine wines. Reservations are strongly recommended as the address is highly rated.

Nineteen 89 is a gourmet restaurant in the South African style, that is to say beautiful plates but with quite copious portions. The Nineteen 89 restaurant is a family story. The dishes are tasty and cooked with passion. It's a great dining experience, whether you want to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in a spacious restaurant decorated with 80's pop culture art and works of local artists displayed on the walls of the restaurant.

It's hard to find a decent restaurant on the Waterfront. But this one has a nice terrace right on the water. It offers classic dishes such as fish, seafood and grilled meats and on Friday afternoons, you may be tempted to try the sushi at half price. It's not the best on the coast, but it's priced low and the fish is very fresh. At the Drydock you can also try the famous Knysna oysters. However, they only serve cultured oysters, you won't find any wild ones.

Carola Ann's is an absolutely delicious restaurant. The décor is fresh and minimalist, which will not distract you, so you can appreciate the beautiful plates served to you even more. In this intimate place, you will be offered tasty breakfasts, but also burgers and sandwiches as well as some vegetarian dishes. The terrace is particularly pleasant, in the shade of the trees and under the loupiotes of the guinguette when the evening falls, with beautiful and large wooden tables, in the warmth of the two outdoor barbecues.

Bramon Wine Estate is an attractive address in the middle of the vineyards. When the weather allows it, the tables are set up in the heart of the vineyards. Country atmosphere guaranteed! When the weather is cold or when it rains, the beautiful and large interior room is built around a friendly wood fire, another charm that works. The concept: when you arrive, you are given a sheet where you tick off the tapas you wish to taste, 2 or 3 per person are enough. All accompanied by homemade bread and a good glass of wine of course!

People come here especially for the ideal location with a panoramic view of the Wilderness beach. It is therefore exquisite to have lunch or dinner on the terrace while listening to the sound of the waves and the breath of the wind. The dishes are rather well cooked, but the menu is rather common. Of course, the traditional seafood is there: grilled squid, mussels, shrimps, or the must of all the pubs on the Garden Route, the fish and chips. The kitchen offers a white fish of the day, often snoek or cod.

It's a girls' story... The adventure began in 2001 and has always been successful. The Girl's on the Square is established in a pretty little square in the heart of the town of Wilderness, a really attractive place. Here, the terrace is warm and the room is welcoming and elegant under a thatched roof. As for the service, it is impeccable. The food is refined, the wine and cocktail list very complete. Sushi lovers will also be satisfied with a nice selection on the menu. An address not to be missed.

In the heart of the shopping street of Wilderness, the Blue Olive Restaurant offers beautiful, colourful, fresh and well stocked plates: meat, seafood, burgers, salads, there is something for every taste. The restaurant opens onto a large and beautiful wooden terrace. In the shade of the trees, the wooden tables are round and surrounded by matching benches. In the early morning, you can settle down to have a good breakfast, with eggs Bénédicte, perhaps! It is good value for money.

Same concept as the Blue Shed in Mossel Bay. A small tin establishment filled with all kinds of junk. The interior is charming and pretty with vintage sofas, the exterior is just as original with chandeliers in the trees and a dilapidated car as a gigantic flowerpot! There are small wrought iron tables everywhere. Your order is made at the counter, you are given a number and your drinks are brought to the table.

Tapas and oysters! An American-style atmosphere in this restaurant specializing in tapas, but there are also pizzas and sushi. Big screens above the bar, loud music, hanging flags... The tables are covered with waxed canvases with the name of the restaurant painted by hand and empty tequila bottles cover the walls up to the ceiling. The large plastic-coated menu offers a huge choice of tapas from all over the world and the oysters are delicious. The terrace is very pleasant for a drink in the evening.
