L'Autre Canal is the reference venue for contemporary music in Nancy. Created in 2007, this building with its bright red modern architecture is recognizable among thousands. From early music to contemporary music, the Opera presents masterpieces of the classical repertoire, a passionate repertoire and lyrical discoveries, to appeal to a wide audience. Labelled "National Opera" in 2006, it was restored in 1994 to recreate it as it was on the day of its inauguration in 1919, namely an Italian-style theater with boxes, balcony and galleries, a pastiche of an 18th century opera, created by the Alsatian Joseph Hanecker.

A movie theater that has the advantage of being right in the city center. It has become old and has undergone major renovations and the metamorphosis makes it all the more pleasant. The large Prestige cinema has been divided into 3 small theatres, with 90, 100 and 110 seats. For more than 100 years, the famous Salle Poirel has been a vibrant part of downtown Nancy. Les Sacrés Lurons (Séverine Caurla, Laurent Arnold, Marc Guepratte and Catherine Léger), in residence in Tomblaine in the beautiful theater of La Source, created the company in 1983. Since 2005, the Théâtre de la Source springs from an old water source in the city. Easily accessible, a room that can accommodate 136 people also provides a large bar area with tables for a convivial moment. Created on September^1, 1978 as part of the choreographic decentralization, the company has seen several great choreographers at its head. Since 2011, Petter Jacobsson has taken over the direction of the company to offer classical pieces and creations. Choreographers of great renown and young talents come from all over the world to Nancy, to transmit and create with the dancers of the ballet, all of them classically trained, but open and passionate about contemporary dance.

With a surface area of nearly 93,000 m², the Zénith de Nancy can accommodate up to 25,000 people. It is not only the largest concert hall in the department, but also the first facility in Europe to offer a reversible open-air stage! Since 1946, Marcel Adrien invited musicians from the Conservatory for chamber music sessions, giving birth to the association. The association, animated by volunteers since its origin, proposes an eclectic and quality program, which reflects an unceasing dynamism. Thanks to its musical richness, it is natural to want to support it by encouraging the public to come and see the artists at the Salle Poirel.

At Caméo, the selection varies between auteur and mainstream films; the trend is to discover original films. There's no question of dubbing, just original versions screened every week, taking you on a journey around the world. This temple is aimed at both film buffs and those curious to broaden their cinematic culture. Cine-club sessions are organized, as well as café-ciné events, ideal for debate. The Gérard Philippe Theatre specialises in shows for children and young audiences. Puppet theatre and object theatre, circus, music and visual arts are on offer. Thanks to the cultural action of the Val de Lorraine, the commune of Frouard, the community of communes of the Pompey Basin, the General Council of Meurthe-et-Moselle, the Regional Council of Lorraine and the European Fund, artists invest the Gérard Philippe theatre over the seasons with a variety of programmes that appeal to all audiences, young and old. Meetings are also proposed with the public, who can attend rehearsals, have a drink with an author, be present during the preparation of an exhibition, a conference, a workshop... with the aim of encouraging exchanges.

Opened in 2003, the Théâtre de Mon Désert, like the street where it is located, is managed by the City of Nancy. It's a question of being on the lookout for varied programming throughout the year, which allows to support creation and to diffuse local companies. The layout of the room, where the audience can interact with the stage, encourages exchanges with the actors. A conventional stage for cross-referenced stage writing, La Méridienne - Théâtre de Lunéville is particularly interested in transdisciplinarity and new relationships with the public. The programme is filled with abundant artistic proposals and a variety of media: theatre, musical performances, dance, circus arts. The Conservatoire Régional du Grand Nancy is a metropolitan institution for the artistic teaching of music, dance and theatre. Classes with flexible music schedules (CHAM) in partnership with the National Education, courses, initiations, teachings, exams, but also auditions, concerts and events. The conservatory works around the awakening of the youngest, teaching, identification and development of young talent. Relive the adventures of Boubam and the tam-tam, Leïla and the whale...in the only theater for children in Lorraine! Designed and adapted for children from 2 to 8 years old, the puppet shows created by Nancy's Jean-Pierre Idatte are performed by the 3 Chardons company. For each show, the actors involve children and parents in an intimate and warm room adapted to families, with the first two rows reserved for children.

With seven air-conditioned rooms, the site can contain 1 300 places accessible for disabled people.
