Nearby Olifants is the Mozambican section of the park in the central area of the Kruger (Porte or Phalaborwa). More exclusive than the busy camps, it only offers bungalows or cottages, comfortable but still far from being luxurious. Its charming restaurant, its panoramic panorama on the river Olifant, frequented by groups of elephants, hippos and crocodiles, its guided rides in mountain biking in the bush… the assets of the camp are numerous. With its restaurant on the Letaba River, the Elephants Museum and tents, there is a beautiful atmosphere. Visit the water points Malopenyana and Middelvlei, and you will probably see pachyderms, because the camp is famous for being an oasis appreciated by them. Camp located at Phalaborwa Gate, in the centre of the park, ideal for a first or last night passing through this door. On-site: distributor, restaurant, cafeteria, service station and swimming pool!

Satara Camp is a camp of rudimentaires bungalows, a little more comfortable with the kitchenette. But we come here for the location, in the heart of the park (closest door: Orpen) in an area populated by lions, hyenas and other cats, but also giraffes, buffalo and antelopes (their pantry). On-site swimming pool, supermarket, restaurant, service station… A nice camp, with game drive. Small budgets can camp and sleep in less expensive huts in the Balule satellite camp, well placed too.

On the river Klaserie, nestled in the vegetation, a rustic camp on stilts. A magical meal at the height of the birds. Walks in freedom since there is no croqueurs, simply sympathetic antelopes, some giraffes and zebras. You sleep like a Pope under the tent, if you have chosen the self-catering option, a kitchen corner.

A horse safari specialist, a national reputation. At the beginning of the tent camp installed near the Makhutswe River, you move to the encounter of wildlife on the Karongwe reserve.

I loved this very happy ensemble of safari tents and public parts decorated with great elegance. The lounges are furnished with the same invoice as at Kapama Lodge, which is not very easy to say.
