Media Budapest

An English-speaking reference site, regularly updated for any traveler going to Budapest. A real gold mine to find beautiful walks, new places (restaurants, brunches, bars...), family activities or various festivals and events in Budapest. Also ideal to refresh your knowledge of Hungarian history. Also available in paper version as a small monthly magazine (but it is less regular since 2020-2021). It is a must-have in all the trendy places in town.

Ex-hu-lala.org launched in 2010, this online media is managed and fed daily by a team of independent French-speaking journalists based in Budapest, Prague, Warsaw and Kiev and occasionally elsewhere. Field reports, analyses, tribunes, translations, exclusive interviews... A young, dynamic and very professional reference on Hungary and the whole Central European region. Some contents are available on subscription.

The European network - originally existing in more than 82 cities worldwide - "Spotted by Locals" has a site entirely dedicated to Budapest. In the Hungarian capital, as everywhere else the site operates, a handpicked group of bloggers share their good tips and favorite places. Restaurants, cinemas, parks, baths, thrift shops, antique shops, markets, architectural curiosities... all articles are always short and concise, illustrated with a photo and updated regularly. The site is free, but the application is not.
