An oasis of human warmth and good music in the middle of a residential area. The house organizes táncház (a folk dance session preceded by a class), concerts and sells the CDs of its own label (THE reference in folk music), especially on Wednesdays. Initiate yourself with or without a partner on that day! Young and old alike come to the Fonó to dance to the rhythm of traditional dances from the Carpathian Basin and the rest of Europe. Food and drinks are available in the café at lunchtime and in the evening.

AKVÁRIUM

In 2012, the club that had previously been called Gödör became - after a serious facelift and many upsets - the Akvárium. Gödör (literally, the "hole"), Budapest's nightlife mecca, had taken over the vacant space left by the aborted construction of the national theater. A staircase descends under the large Erzsébet square (very popular with partygoers in summer), from which one can see the pools. There are several concert halls inside, and the program is sophisticated. Akvárium, which has become more "trendy" and less alternative, attracts the top names.
