E-CG - REPUBLIC TECHNOLOGIES
Read moreE-CG is an e-liquid brand of the Republic Technologies Industries Group which specializes in the design, manufacture and international distribution of accessories for smokers. Its range of products is manufactured in its two workshops in Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales) from ingredients of French origin and is certified Origine France Garantie.
History: The history of Republic Technologies International, which dates back to the early 19th century, is the common history of several companies that have met and associated themselves over the years.
In 1822, Mr. Bolloré created a paper mill on the banks of the Odet, a river in Finistère that flows through Quimper and flows into the Atlantic at Bénodet. A second paper mill was built at the Cascadec mill in 1893. The manufacture of ultra-thin paper for rolling cigarettes gave birth to the OCB brand (Odet - Cascadec - Bolloré) in 1918.
In 1838, Jean Bardou, a baker of his condition, living in Perpignan, had the brilliant idea of cutting sheets of thin paper and making a small notebook out of which the leaves allowed the smoker to roll his cigarettes. On the notebook, between his initials, he places the diamond representing the city's arms. Quickly, it is read like an O and cigarette paper becomes JOB paper, which is therefore manufactured by the JOB Company, the company created by the Bardou family.
In 1894, the Braunstein brothers (manufacturers since 1879) filed a patent for a device for entangling cigarette paper sheets. This machine folds the cigarette paper sheets and makes an assembly that allows, when you take one sheet, to automatically present the next one. This invention gave birth to the automatic notebook and naturally led to the introduction of a new type of notebook on the market, the "Zig-Zag".
In 1956, Bolloré and JOB acquired Braustein and the Zig-Zag brand.
In 1986, Bolloré acquired JOB, the company changed its name and became Bolloré Technologies. It produces and markets the products of the OCB, Zig-Zag and JOB brands.
In 2000, Republic Group, an international group based in Chicago, acquired the company, which is now called Republic Technologies International and is now independent of Bolloré.
Since 2002, the RTI Group has been integrating upstream and downstream control of its businesses through the acquisition or creation of production and distribution companies in Europe.
