Water sports and leisure activities Hérault

An ideal starting point for exploring the Hérault gorges, this watersports base along the river is bordered by cliffs. With family or friends, you can spend a few hours or a whole day walking and swimming. There are five routes, ranging from 3 to 17 km, from Laroque, Saint-Bauzille de Putois or Aubanel. You'll find all the amenities you need, including shaded parking, a refreshment bar and a private beach. A special package allows you to enjoy a descent at the end of the day, with aperitif, barbecue and bivouac.

Water sports are sensational. Rando Jet adds to the latter "guaranteed laughter" and it is valid for everyone, "5 to 105 years old," and because of: flight above the sea parachute to more than 70 meters high, to enjoy an exceptional point of view on the Camargue in 3 D with guided tour of the Bay of Aigues-Mortes, flyboat, initiation and jet skiing, rodeo rodeo in tracted buoy or even more calmly paddle, everything is framed by graduate instructor and security equipment is provided, whether swimming or not. We have understood it, we have fun and the activities are numerous, mostly nautical but not that: There are quad, kart, paintball, bike tours, and even after adrenaline, bodily awakening courses with yoga, tai chi, etc.

To enjoy the most sporting river in the Mediterranean, there is nothing better than a canoe or a kayak. Grandeur Nature offers you to sail on this water in complete safety and according to your desires. The less adventurous can rent a two-seater canoe or kayak to canoe and stroll around the lake. For the others, the routes vary from 5 km to 35 km, the longest is spread over 3 days. Surrounded by instructors you will discover incredible landscapes, a charming calm but also areas with rapids, a dam with slide to cross... A beautiful walk!

JLC rents boats with or without a license, of the latest generation, some of which are electric. Wakeboard, water ski and towed buoy are also available! On site, the team will show you the most beautiful places to visit and will give you a small map so that you can find your way on the city's canals and on the pond. Please note: the sunset package offers a bucolic trip accompanied by a land or sea tasting platter, with a bottle of wine.

Embark on the Mansathau, a catamaran with mixed propulsion to discover the Thau lagoon. The 55-minute guided tour will take you through the oyster beds and provide you with a variety of information: after the geographical data, the captain will retrace the history of shellfish farming and explain the current farming methods with the help of a slide show. Gourmet escapade, sunset (only in summer) or private excursion with skipper are also available.

The classic route, which lasts 3 to 4 hours, covers 12 km in the heart of the wilderness. Starting upstream from the village, there are no roads, villages or campsites. With short rapids suitable for beginners, you'll cross the Hérault gorges, an area accessible only on foot or by boat. Another 4 km route, starting downstream, is ideal for children. You can enjoy canoeing for as long as you like, picnicking, swimming and immersing yourself in the lush natural surroundings.

For over 30 years, this association has been canoeing the rivers of the Haut Languedoc. Tours range from 5 km to 36 km, or from 1.5 hours to 3 days (with bivouac), depending on level. Experienced paddlers can simply hire the equipment, while beginners will be accompanied by qualified, licensed professionals. Along the way, you'll discover the waterways and rapids of the Orb before your very eyes... In winter, depending on water levels, rafting is also available. You can also eat and camp on site.

Located on the plateau of the lakes, Lac de la Raviège is the result of a 35 m high dam located on the Agoût river. The 410 ha of water allows you to practice many activities. Young and old can learn to sail, windsurf and even sail on a motorboat. And, a classic feature of the waterways, pedal boats are available for hire. Around the lake other activities await the holidaymakers.... There is even a relaxation area with sauna, spa and whirlpool in the town of Nages. A very nice place!

The 1,000 m² of the aquatic complex guarantees you great thrills. They are structured around an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by a lawn with trees. Behind the large bay windows, you can contemplate the five pools in the centre: a 25-metre sports pool, a recreational pool with a depth varying from 0.40 to 0.90 metres, an "adventure" pool and two pools dedicated to slides and pentagliss. If the sound volume becomes too disturbing, we advise you to go to the outdoor area and its 3 ha park.

This aquatic centre extends over 10,000^m2 and offers three areas for sports, leisure and wellness centred around various water-based activities. Thus, at "l'Archipel", you will be able to benefit from a swimming pool area, an aquatic leisure area and treatments with Spa and fitness area. The play area consists of numerous water games with slides, a counter-current walk, whirlpool baths, bubble beds... Courses are also offered.

The city of Sète offers you the superb Raoul-Fonquerne bathing center, well appreciated by the locals. You can enjoy the Olympic pool, the competition pool, the wave pool and the paddling pool, the slides and the solarium, but also the 3 sports halls: a weight room reserved for high level teams, a cardio fitness room available to sportsmen and women and to the general public, in free access or for group classes, and a fitness room.

This 80-foot blue trimaran, moored in front of the station, is a real Formula 1 capable of reaching 40 knots. It has participated in the greatest offshore races, including the Route du Rhum... If you like strong emotions, come on board. This extraordinary trimaran is capable of going in one day to tickle the Pyrenees-Orientales on one side, the Camargue on the other. On board, three experienced skippers will share the maneuvers with you. No more than ten people can come aboard. Many services and strong sensations.

Kayak-Med offers kayak and stand-up paddle rentals, for beginners and advanced, as well as classic or electrically assisted bicycles. Several types of guided excursions on the Thau lagoon or at sea are proposed to discover Sète and the surrounding area with family or friends. The city center tour, to discover Sète in a different way: the canals, the port, the secret corners. Or, on the Mediterranean side with the port, the creeks and the sea caves. Or the fauna and flora of the Thau lagoon and the oyster beds.

Every Wednesday and Saturday, the club's kayakers train on the water base on Cazilhac avenue. On weekends, they leave to discover the River Orb upstream of the city, Hérault or the coastline. The club members, young or younger, practise this sport from a leisure or competition perspective. The club has also been regularly illustrated at the French Canoe Championships. In 2005, a member of the club even won the second place in the mixed category category in the French championship. For those who do not have equipment, the club offers rental solutions.

If you're an outdoor enthusiast, the Goût d'Aventure leisure center in Aniane is the place for you! Between water, rocks and breathtaking landscapes, their team offers a variety of sensational or relaxing activities. Whether it's via ferrata, rock climbing, caving, archery or hydrospeed, you'll be spoilt for choice for exceptional moments with family or friends in an extraordinary natural setting. The vast nautical base offers canoes, kayaks and giant paddles for hire... There's even an aquatic zip-line!

This club, affiliated with the French Federation, welcomes all those who want to discover rowing, nature, and rediscover the true values of sport. It is also the place of appointment for the lovers of this discipline who ask for regular training to be practiced in competition. Regularly, the volunteer members of the association organize outings in places of rame other than ponds and the sea - Lake du Salagou, hiking in the region, recreational weekends in France. During the school year, the training takes place on Wednesday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday morning.

Is it necessary to present Pure Kite? It is the most famous and oldest Kite school in the region. Jérôme Gouby has taught his passion for amateurs and professionals in Palavas les Flots for almost 14 years. The water base is installed in the water near their favourite spot (Maguelone Beach/Les Aresquiers) which enjoys very favourable weather conditions: high quality thermal breeze and frequent Tramontane.

First school entirely dedicated to kitesurfing, Fild'Air combines safety and thrills. Its spot, the vast and little frequented Thau basin, allows to orientate easily according to the wind. The supervision is assured by qualified instructors. The school offers courses for all levels, safe sailing in shallow water and in open water, trial sessions, baptisms and catakite courses (catamaran rigged with a kite). The club also offers seat-kite baptisms for people with reduced mobility.

Pierre and Stéphanie offer adults and children the opportunity to discover the underwater treasures of Les Aresquiers. This plateau is full of common Mediterranean species (octopus, sars, sea breams...), as well as rarer specimens for the region such as moray eels, groupers, étrilles, and crustaceans. Several formulas are available: first dive, exploration trip, diver training, first aid adapted to diving. On site, you will also find a rental service for diving equipment.
