L'EPAVE DU SANKO HARVEST
Read moreFor experienced divers, the wreck of the Sanko Harvest is located in the Recherche Archipelago. Coming from Florida, this cargo ship carrying phosphate and oil bound for Esperance sank in 1991 while trying to take a shortcut. An oil spill ensued, much of which was cleaned up by volunteers shoveling oil from the white sands of the area's beaches. The wreck is now home to many aquatic species and is the second largest in the world! Dolphin Scuba or Woody Island Eco Tours can take you there.
