SEALINK KANGAROO ISLAND

ADELAIDE PARKLANDS TERMINAL

It is the interstate (interregional) railway station whose former name is Keswik Station. Beware, the distances are important and the trips long! You can find the departures and arrivals of the following trains:

The Overland (Adelaide-Melbourne). Approximately 10h30 of travel.

The Indian Pacific (Perth-Adelaide-Sydney). Approximately 43 hours for Perth. Approximately 26 hours for Sydney.

The Ghan (Adelaide-Alice Springs-Darwin). About 23h for Alice Springs. About 2 days to Darwin.

ADELAIDE RAILWAY STATION

Railway station

This station, which dates back to 1928, is the departure point for commuter trains (note that Intersate trains leave from the Adelaide Parklands Terminal). Since 1985, the overhead section has become the Adelaide Casino.

Great Southern Rail (Brisbane à Adelaide)

Like the Ghana or Indian Pacific, the Great Southern is now run by Journey Beyond Rail, which offers a very good quality service aimed at travelers who want a fairly luxurious experience while enjoying the superb scenery and experiences available along the way. The journey between Brisbane and Adelaide takes three days and two nights, with stops in Coffs Harbour, the Grampians or the Hunter Valley, depending on the itinerary, which you can check on the website. You should expect to pay around AU$2,000-3,000 per person (booking in advance).

ADELAIDE O-BAHN

The O-Bahn line, designed by the German company Daimler-Benz, is a bus line with part of its route on an impassable track (with low concrete walls on both sides). It was established in 1986 to relieve traffic congestion in the northeastern suburbs and provide quick access to the Tea Tree Plaza shopping area. It is 12 kilometers long and has three stops from Currie Street or Grenfell Street in downtown Adelaide: Klemzig Station, Paradise Interchange and Tea Tree Plaza Interchange.

Port Lincoln is located in the Australian state of South Australia. To get there, you can fly with Qantas. The airline offers several economy class options, with prices starting from AUD 169 from Adelaide, AUD 291 from Melbourne and AUD 361 from Sydney. Kangaroo Island airport is served by Qantas. You'll find a small café there. Cabs and shuttles are available to take you to the city center or vice versa. Kangaroo Island Transfer provides a shuttle service from the airport. Reservations are required. Rental cars are also available on site: Hertz and Budget are among the car rental companies present (but remember to book in advance for the best rates and options).
