There are between 20 and 30 of them, most of whom can be seen early in the morning (6 a.m.!) and in the evening. The route includes 6 spots with information panels. You'll need a car to complete the entire route, which leads to Garden Island, 6 km from the starting point, and then to North Haven, also 6 km away, but on the other side of the river. This means you have to retrace your steps back to the original starting point to continue the trail.
