This old art deco theater was built in 1892-1893 as the New Belmore Markets with, as a characteristic of the time, the inclusion of circus, theater and fairground shows. BELGRAVE CINEMA

Cinema

The Belgrave cinema is THE cinema in Armidale. It is also one of the main entertainment places of the city. Two rooms are available and allow the daily projection of 4 or 5 different films. At the entrance of the establishment, a plaque reminds us that it exists thanks to the Friends of the Cinema, who created the place after the closing of the Capitol Theater, in 1983.

Installed in an old chapel (1885) whose general architecture has remained intact despite the change of business, one can attend the projection of recent films in a most original decor. In terms of equipment, the place sometimes offers 3D, Digital and Dolby 7.1 projections. It offers few films and few screenings, but it's already something!
