This old art deco theater was built in 1892-1893. At first, the building served as the New Belmore Markets, with circus, theater and fairground shows included. As the number of visitors to these shows declined over time, the building was converted into a racecourse in 1913. It became a permanent theater in 1927. Today, the theater's program includes both major musical performances and appearances by renowned artists.
