Since 1977, Nîmes cinephiles have had just one address: Le Sémaphore. This local cinema, a veritable cultural center, shows independent films in VO, documentaries, children's films... In its 6 cinemas, you can see a number of French and international films, both topical and less so. The cinema regularly organizes thematic mini-festivals and previews, often in the presence of the director, author or actor. The cinema houses a cafeteria serving homemade tarts, salads and desserts every day!

Le Petit Subito is the literary and singing cabaret of Henry Le Ny and Doumée, directors and actors, emblematic figures of the "scene. With his relaxation, where portraits are translated, texts to be interpreted at the top time, public readings, cabaret at Kurt Weil, staggered concerts, Compagnie Subito brings a user-friendly dimension, which contributes to its reputation. Sitting around the tables as in the bistro or setting along the walls, spectators (one hundred more) take place and necessarily talk to each other. Here we cultivate the love of words, music, bloody polar or rock history. Under the leadership of the conductor Gilles Hubert, 65 passionate people multiply the rehearsals and benefits of a rich musical repertoire: From Gounod to Unattainable, from Mozart to Rossini via Wagner or Offenbach, it's always the same pleasure to sing. In the programme, various forms of live shows, comedies, tales, poems, songs, improvisation, work of the clown, music, that you enjoy with children. The troupe of Rémy Leboucq, also actor and director of the theatre, has occupied space since 2004. A bar and an exhibition room provide a friendly atmosphere and a certain closeness to the public. Adult and child theatre, theatre practice workshops for beginners or confirmed, for training and initiation projects in theatre, for insertion. This theatre theatre works well in its Richelieu neighbourhood.

Even a near the railway line, Théâtre Théâtre 7 has been able to assert its place of residence with relevance. Michel Boy, director, artistic director and actor is a fervent word of oral language, each time reinvented. The Municipal Theatre, in the heart of Escutcheon, is the right lung of culture in Nîmes. A beautiful showcase of the city's cultural policy, programming, both popular and classical, contemporary and musical, gives a fair place to the different repertoires (opera, opera, jazz, theatre, international choreography…). In acoustic training, the tribute, which is both sensitive and adventurous, revisits with respect and affection the repertoire of the famous sétois songwriter. Subtle arrangements on fluid voices and interpretations make the Pol & cie concerts not give the impression of a old. On the contrary, they resume the work in an obvious way and are required with lightness, humor and poetry, as Georges Brassens knew. Guy Labory was a saxophonist from Nîmes who created the jazz club of Nîmes which has over 200 concerts to its credit. Today, the Labory Jazz Club production brings together jazz musicians of national and international level, under its own label. The LJC offers concerts and types of events, not to mention the annual three-day "tribute to Guy Labory" festival. The bodega of the Poet, rue Thoumayne, is the historical place of their concerts, which are becoming more and more regular.

The Association for a Popular Theatre, which enters its 46 ^th season in Nîmes, develops a dynamic and dynamic activity for the benefit of loyal spectators. The major scenes of the city (the Odéon, the Municipal Theatre or Christian Ligier) welcome a year-round, dense and demanding progammation. Formerly a spinning mill built in 1873, it has now become an attractive venue for a wide variety of artistic events. Theater, cinema, concerts, festivals, Opéra en Cévennes, conferences and exhibitions liven up the evenings in Lasalle. A small subsidised theatre behind the Carré d'Art which programs the creation of professional and amateur troops, readings of contes tales, modern clowns. On the weekend, musical evenings show authors, composers and cabaret artists, but the particularity of Télémac is its awareness of theatrical play. Thus, speakers animate workshops for children, adolescents, adults and offer various modules of playful excercices, to assert themselves thanks to oral and body expression. Groups made up of a dozen participants will thus discover the foundations of the profession of actor: work on voice, improvisation, space, body and learning text… An educational dimension in the form of internships or collective courses that make theatre year round.

The Cabaret Equestre de Camargue transports you to a world of freedom and poetry, offering a unique experience combining dance, horseback riding and music. The dinner show tells the story of a young gypsy girl's quest for freedom, gracefully interpreted by a troupe of professional artists. Flamenco, equestrian stunts and acrobatics follow one another in a colorful show celebrating the art and traditions of the Camargue and Andalusia.

Specialized in the rental of its beautiful reception room adapted to all family and professional events (wedding, birthday, seminars, cocktails…), this charming area offers a space of 260 square metres, which can accommodate up to 160 guests. A nice guest room will be presented to you if you wish to finish your evening with serenity. It is also possible to plant its tent canvas on the sites reserved for this purpose. The terrace, with a capacity of 200 people, is ideal for your cocktails. The view of the ponds and vineyards is truly superb. Every second Friday of the month, come and relax in After Work, from 19 am to 1 am. 

Le Cratère, located in the heart of the city, is Alès' largest concert hall, seating 800. Comedians, concerts, plays, dance, screenings during the film festival... As a national stage, the Cratère hosts top-notch contemporary French and European shows, and also gives pride of place to local artists. The institution also presents Cratère Espace, an itinerant program covering 23 towns in the region, and has created Cratère Surface, a street art festival that is a must-see in June.

Cultural venues of this kind are precious in the region. Since spring 2017, La Moba, with a capacity of 350 people, has been run by a dozen music enthusiasts of all kinds. It offers rock concerts, rap or techno evenings, programming for all tastes, and even shows for young audiences during the week. Admission is often modest and, in fine weather, La Moba boasts a large patio for open-air dancing. In July, the Goud'Vibes street arts festival is organized by La Moba and the town of Goudargues.

" All year in music "is the credo at Véro, a former wine cellar, which became a country cabaret in 2006 between Nîmes and Montpellier on the road to Sommières. On the weekend, independent stage talents are programmed by the boss himself, the former director of the Feu Blues festival, producer producer, operator and above all fin when it comes to making us discover his coups. Véro, his wife, made the kitchen. You can dine before, during or after the concert of simple, tasty dishes cooked as at home, which show a preference for Moroccan specialities. Every Thursday, evening wine bar (domaine de vallat d'ezort), seafood and live music. In the summer, the guinguette atmosphere increases the conviviality of this atypical place only 10 km from Nîmes.
