The road climbs and winds up to the highest point to arrive at this magnificent site and restaurant! Before your eyes, a magical panorama overlooking the Roques de Salmor, and all the beaches of El Golfo (as seen from an airplane!), and the beautiful stone building with its gigantic glass roofs to enjoy the view. Built in 1989 by César Manrique, the famous artist and preserver of the island of Lanzarote, the restaurant has even been visited by Spain's majesties: Juan Carlos I and his wife Sofia. A venue for receptions, it's also one of the best tables on the island! Don't hesitate to take a seat on the terrace to make the most of the fresh air and magical view, while enjoying fine Mediterranean and Canarian cuisine using local and organic produce. On the menu: fried cabrit, local fish soup, stuffed chicken breast with mushroom sauce, pineapple garnished with langoustines, and desserts of Gofio mousse (a local specialty) with honey and toasted almonds. Don't forget to take a stroll along the path that starts here and will leave you with an unforgettable memory. You'll be right up there with the clouds!

I fell in love with this restaurant, which is surprising to say the least. Antonio Garcia, the chef trained in France, works on his dishes both in terms of taste and presentation. It is a market cuisine, Mediterranean and international, where the products are organically grown. Pork and suckling lamb and zucchini, quail salad, steamed octopus, small squid, surprising homemade desserts like lemon mousse with fresh cheese, the list is long and evolves throughout the year. And as the kitchen is open you can see the chef at work.

If you go to the small village of Pozo de La Salud or Pozo de Sabinosa, this will be the only bar-restaurant at your disposal. It is the restaurant of the Balneario hotel that offers international cuisine and some Canarian dishes with excellent fresh fish and octopus. And above all to enjoy an enchanting setting, with your back to the beautiful black mountains and facing the deep blue sea. A refreshing stopover before heading to the beaches.

Located at the beginning of the village of Frontera, take the road that goes to the sea, this restaurant is especially known and recognized for the quality of its meats, to be appreciated especially with the grilled lamb, a delight. The cutting will be done by the boss himself at the table. Just like the fish. Homemade soup is also highly recommended. For those with the least appetite, there is also a tapas tasting menu which even includes a mint gazpacho. There is also a selection of El Hierro Denomination of Origin wines. At the entrance, a bar area.

This restaurant has a family feel to every floor. Since 1988, the father and one of the sons have been going to sea on their own fishing boat. This guarantees the absolute freshness of the fish. While mother and daughter cook up some good Canarian recipes behind their stoves. The other two sons? They're doing the ward service. Their specialities, fish parilladas, seafood soup and of course the fish of the day, prepared a la plancha. Here, as you can imagine, the welcome is very warm and the restaurant is quickly full.

Close to the port is an excellent fish restaurant where you can choose the freshly caught fish of the day, an old (or a labre) for example, to be accompanied by papas arrugadas and excellent mojos. You will also appreciate the good meats such as steak with wine sauce, homemade croquettes and the generosity of the dishes, served copiously. Beautiful presentation is his other trademark. Which has earned him a regular clientele. Logically, it is often full, especially at noon, so it is wise to book.

RESTAURANTE LA TAFENA

Restaurant cuisine dEurope

This restaurant owes its name to the work of gofio, a grain flour inherited from the guanches. Opened in March 2019, it welcomes its customers in a large room with bright walls and often fills up because word of mouth has worked well. This is justified because the portions are quite copious and the prices quite mini. The menu changes regularly, but you can be tempted by the soup of the day, with mushrooms and spinach, by the gambas al ajillo or the goat cheese, served with palm honey. Reservation recommended.

RESTAURANTE CASA JUAN

Restaurant cuisine dEurope €€

Since its opening in 1973, this restaurant has given pride of place to local products, especially from the sea. As a result, it is now one of the most famous places on the island for fish, whether for its freshness or its preparation. Their mythical dish is the limpet soup, a must-try, but you can also taste their tuna and their prawns with various mojos. The gourmets will also appreciate their chocolate mousse or their gofio mousse. The space is small, so reservations are highly recommended.
