Every year, Provins brings back to life the Champagne Fairs of the ^12th and ^13th centuries, France's largest medieval festival. Share the moment with family and friends, discovering shows and fun activities. On the program: troubadours, acrobats and entertainers, games, jousts, music, dances and legends, as well as craftsmen demonstrating their skills in pottery, illumination and blacksmithing. Days that always leave unforgettable memories!

For the festive season, the town of Meaux is decked out in its finest finery from the beginning of December with "Meaux et Merveille". Young and old alike can enjoy a wide range of activities: magical illuminations in the Jardin Bossuet, a winter village offering a variety of fun activities, appearances by Santa Claus, a grand parade with imaginary creatures and floats... not forgetting the funfair and the Christmas market with its delicatessen stalls. Three weeks of festivities not to be missed to close the year in style.

Every January, Melun hosts the Salon du Livre et des Vieux Papiers at L'Escale. The event brings together some forty booksellers, some of whom come from as far afield as France and Belgium. It's an opportunity to unearth a few treasures among antiquarian books, comic strips, works of art, posters, old newspapers, postcards... Along the way, you may be able to take part in a workshop or meet an author and have a book signed!

Every year in November, Provins honors its specialty, the niflette, a pastry whose puff pastry covers a soft, unctuous cream subtly flavored with orange blossom. A real delight! The people of Provence will tell you that the origins of this gourmet sin date back to the Middle Ages. In those days, it was given to orphans on All Saints' Day, a gesture accompanied by a " Ne flete! ("Don't cry!"), hence the name niflette. Today, the tradition lives on in a convivial atmosphere organized around events, workshops and a gourmet market.

Created in 2020, the Rosa Bonheur Festival is an event dedicated to women's creativity and heritage. The venues are well chosen, to say the least, offering moments of escape, a unique experience far from the hustle and bustle, in a setting that was the artistic laboratory of the famous painter and a space dedicated to her many guests, feathered, furred and scaled. A heritage that comes to life every summer in the form of classical (and other) concerts to be enjoyed in the open air, projections in the forest and poetry to be heard in the shelter of a small ^18th-century pavilion.

Every July, the Douve Blanche festival takes place in Egreville. Created in 2016 by the musico-culinary collective Animal Records & Kitchen, it's an original way of combining music and gastronomy for a weekend, in an extraordinary setting: under the ramparts of the historic château. For its ^10th year, in 2024, the festive event will bring together a number of artists, including Vitalic, Sierra, Bagarre, Kendal and Angie & Lazuli. Live performances, DJ sets and why not a feast to be savored in 5 stages. What else?

Le Petit Cormier is a charming boutique that's all about diversity. Primarily a tearoom, it's the perfect place to enjoy a delicious seasonal ice cream over a cup of tea or fruit juice. It's also a gallery showcasing the work of local and Parisian artists. In addition to exhibitions of paintings, sculptures and photos, there are warm-hearted events such as mini-concerts, readings and various convivial workshops. Strolling through the premises, you'll also discover a delicatessen and decoration section.

A former dairy farm built at the end of the ^19th century in a superb industrial style, since the 1990s Ferme du Buisson has become a cultural mecca in Seine-et-Marne, bringing together a variety of theaters, cinemas and open-air exhibition spaces. On the program: eclectic exhibitions, classic or atypical plays, festivals, films, etc. The website provides precise program information. In honor of Saint Fiacre, patron saint of gardeners, Coulommiers and the Horticultural Society organize the biennial Fête des Fleurs on the second Sunday in September. The program features flower-decked carriages and a country-style menu in the heart of the Parc des Capucins. A wonderful festival, with mass, musicians from the Lyre Briarde, Newfoundland dogs and many other surprises, as well as an autumn market with macaroons, meringues, gingerbread, goats, Bries de Coulommiers, wicker baskets, fruit, vegetables and, of course, plants, trees and flowers...

In 2023, the very first arts and crafts show took place in Noisiel, at the Ferme du Buisson, for three days, during which 25 Seine-et-Marnais craftsmen showcased their precious skills: ceramists, jewelry designers, a bronze-maker, metal enamellers, upholsterers, weavers, model-makers, leatherworkers, a gilder, a woodturner and a bronze-maker... In addition to sales, there were workshops and technical demonstrations to delight lovers of beautiful, well-made things, between ancestral gestures and innovative techniques. A real treasure trove!

The Foire de la Saint-Jean has been held in Nemours since 1948. Its location, at the crossroads of four départements, makes it a major annual event, with numerous exhibitors, including local producers and craftsmen showcasing their skills, as well as outside entertainment (parades, music groups, etc.) to ensure maximum conviviality. A great way to discover the heritage of the Seine-et-Marn region and the town of Nemours.

Every spring, the sumptuous grounds of Château de la Motte in Lorrez-le-Bocage welcome horticulturists and nurserymen. They come laden with trees, ornamental shrubs, old roses, perennials, climbing plants... In addition to the plants of your dreams, you'll also find gardening tools, nesting boxes, garden furniture, local produce to enjoy and all the maintenance advice you need to make your plants even more beautiful. The little ones won't be left out either, with a variety of on-site activities.

The Traditions Terroirs festival is a major event, bringing together over fifty producers and craftsmen every year in mid-August. It's an event that's been going on for over twenty years, and has never lost any of its success. The program includes demonstrations, entertainment and, of course, tastings. Note that this festival, organized under the aegis of the 2 Morin intercommunal tourist office,rotates from one commune to another.

On February 18, 1814, Montereau was the scene of one of Napoleon ^I's last victories. A major event, it saw an army of 5,000 to 6,000 Austrian and Württemberg soldiers stationed beneath the town walls and pillage the surrounding area. Today, every two years, the town of Montereau-Fault-Yonne organizes a commemoration of this incredible battle. This includes a spectacular re-enactment of the confrontations, with hundreds of extras from all over Europe dressed in period costume.

In this lounge you will find more than 80 exhibitors on 2 100 m ². You can discover everything necessary to ensure that the best day of your life is a perfect success. Many animations will be offered to you: three parades a day, a beauty space for tips on hair and/or the ideal makeup for the day of your wedding, or a champagne bar to complete your day!

The Provins Son et Lumière show is a not-to-be-missed event during a visit to the medieval town of Provins. It takes place in the gardens of the Couvent des Cordelières and invites spectators to plunge into life in the Middle Ages. Through a series of shows, the public can discover the hours of joy and sorrow of Provins' inhabitants in the 13th century. Special group rates are available on request. To get to Provins, you can take the A4 freeway, the N19 or the A5. You can also come by train or bus from Paris.

Every year, the last weekend of September, is the 1900 Festival. At the same time large braderie and show, the festival is the occasion for gatherings of old cars of yesteryear and of animations related to the past. Costumed parades, marriage 1900, craftsmen of yesteryear…
