LOW CITIES
Read moreThe Cité Basse is one of the garden cities built in the Parisian region after the First World War. From the 1926-1930 s, the architect Payret-Dortail and his students built housing to respond to the influx of new populations accompanying the economic expansion of this commune near Paris. These social housing units have specific objectives: to install maximum material comfort, to avoid dormitory cities at all costs, to involve the social classes as much as possible and, above all, to ban the uniformity of buildings in order to give room for individual personalization. Finally, the presence of greenery, rare for the time!
THE CIRCULAR BOULEVARD
Read moreImperative and nightmare of motorists: " the circuit ", as the people of Defence call it, is exclusively reserved for motor vehicles. A horse on two villages, Ce and Courbevoie, this round road feeds the A 14 and A 86 motorways or Charles de Gaulle Avenue. A forced passage to the Defence by car. Note that a bicycle path is being carried out, which humanises Defence a little.

SAINT-JAMES PARK
Read moreThis beautiful park underwent a major overhaul in the second half of 2010. Here, you can stroll through a true marvel - strangely overlooked - of French landscape art. For children aged 2 to 6, there's a play area that reproduces the games that were present in the park in the 18thcentury . Great care has been taken in the treatment of the vegetation to enhance the visual pleasure of the walk, with the creation of a plant screen isolating the park from the surrounding properties.
