Hiking Eure

Over 47 kilometres between Evreux and Pont-Authou, beyond the Neubourg, the Green Lane allows, thanks to its coating, the practice of walking, cycling and roller, to the exclusion of any motor gear. Created on the old line SNCF Evreux-Honfleur, it allows hikers to oxygenate in peace of mind. The former Gare station, rehabilitated, hosts the Tourist Office, located on the route of the Green Lane, halfway between Evreux and Le Bec Hellouin.

Between Gisors, capital of the Vexin Normand, and Gasny, discover these 28 kilometers of greenway running along the Epte valley. The route is lined with castles that once marked the border between Normandy and the royal domain of France. Green, undulating landscapes, passing through authentic little villages such as Fourges, Aveny and Château-sur-Epte. Discover the Seine valley and continue on to Giverny and the Claude Monet house, Vernon and La Roche-Guyon. A beautiful walk, rollerblade or bike ride, as you wish...

The greenway runs from Bernay town centre to Broglie, passing through beautiful countryside dotted with working mills and charming, authentic Norman houses. In all, the 13-kilometre route takes you through the picturesque Charentonne valley. Cyclists, rollerbladers and walkers rub shoulders on a small asphalt road closed to motorised vehicles and horseback riders.

Would you like to explore the Eure? The former Évreux-Honfleur railroad line has been transformed into a signposted and equipped itinerary that allows walkers - with or without baby carriages - cyclists, and skaters to cohabit. The Voie Verte links Saint-Georges-Motel to Bueil over a distance of some twenty kilometers. Take advantage of the picnic areas for gourmet breaks with a view! And don't forget to visit the traditional villages along the way.
